Leading Israel-Basher James Zogby is a Democrat Super-delegate for Obama

CNN reports that James Zogby, founder of the Arab America Institute and one of the most prominent Israel-bashers in the United States is apparently a Democrat Super-delegate who has declared for Obama.

Zogby is a well-known, sophisticated operator and would not be throwing his support behind any candidate unless he had good reason to do so. Hmmmm....what does James know that we don't?

Iran: Israel is a Bacteria...and radiation therapy is the answer

It's another "Kill the Jews" Week in Iran:

Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah this week: "The cancerous growth Israel will soon disappear... I am convinced that with every passing day Hizbullah's might is increasing and in the near future, we will witness the disappearance of this cancerous growth Israel by means of the Hizbullah fighters' radiation [therapy]."

UPDATE: By Friday, Nasrallah had expanded his colorful threats: "Destroying Israel is an inevitable outcome, a historic law, a divine doctrine....No one can protect the entire Israeli home front from our missiles."

Iranian Armed Forces chief Maj.-Gen. Hassan Firouzabadi: "Lebanese and Palestinian combatants... [will] continue the struggle until the complete destruction of the Zionist regime and the liberation of the entire land of Palestine."

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: "World powers have created a black and dirty microbe named the Zionist regime and have unleashed it like a savage animal on the nations of the region."

Iranian Parliament Speaker Gholam Hadad: The "countdown to Israel's destruction has begun."

Rahim Safavi, military adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei: "With such anger, the definite death of Israel will arrive sooner."

Head of Iran's Revolutionary Guards Mohammad Ali Jafari: "Hizbullah will destroy the Jewish state."

It's just another week of vile threats by Iran and its proxies to destroy Israel. This week, deseases were the fairovate metafore; Cancer and bacteria that are in need of "radiation" treatment. All of this as Obama and Hillary argue over wheather we should run from Iraq in six weeks or six months after one of them is elected. Meanwhile,

G. W. Bush and Bill Clinton ended up at the same barbershop. As they sat there, each being worked on by a different barber, not a word was spoken.

The barbers were both afraid to start a conversation, for fear it would turn to politics. As the barbers finished their shaves, the one who had Clinton in his chair reached for the after shave.

Clinton was quick to stop him saying, 'No thanks, my wife Hillary will smell that and think I've been in a whorehouse.'

The second barber turned to Bush and said, 'How about you?'

Bush replied, 'Go ahead, my wife doesn't know what the inside of a whorehouse smells like.'

Perito Moreno - The Politically Incorrect Glacier and the Cult of "Global Warming"

NOTE: Al Gore used images of Perito Moreno Glacier in his film "Inconvenient Truth" as "evidence" of Global Warming. The Neocon Express traveled to Southern Patagonia in January of 2008 (mid-summer) to observe the issue first hand:

Perito Moreno Glacier in March of 2004:
Now look at my video of Perito Moreno glacier from January of 2008, filmed from the exact same spot:
Please notice how the glacier has grown in the last four years, and ice has sealed the gap and separated the two bodies of water that are clearly joined in the first video from four years earlier. A cycle that can sometimes take decades.

These video's are priceless on a number of levels and is another reason why Perito Moreno is may favorite glacier in the world. I have had the opportunity to study this carefully. I love the Perito Moreno glacier because of:

1) Its Sheer beauty!
2) The fact that it is a "politically incorrect" glacier, a stubborn, defiant, growing glacier that refuses to conform to the demands of "global warming" activists to recede.
3) The fact that it causes some folks to look at the first video and assume “global warming” when they have absolutely no clue what they are looking at and leave ignorant messages about how the collapsing ice is "tragic" evidence of global warming and we're all going to die.

Facts as described in my video: Over years the Ice expands and separates two large bodies of water by creating a natural dam; one body of water then raises a few centimeters higher every day above the other body of water, separated by the ice. Eventually, once every few years (sometimes decades), the pressure from the rising body of water builds to the point where it finally breaks through the ice and rushes into the other body of water; creating a gap (a giant arch) in the ice which then collapses in on itself (as seen in the first video). The entire cycle then begins over again, as it did since the first video was taken (and as you can see from my video, the 2nd one from this January). It has absolutely nothing to do with global warming (and indeed is evidence of no warming, at least in this region) and the fact that folks insist on making the link to GW (as you can see from the comments section of the first video) only exposes the whole movement for what it is, a political ideology not based in science. Please remember that Al Gore's "Inconvenient Truth" was full of images of dramatic collapsing glacial ice (natural cleaving) as visual "evidence" of global warming. Purposely and deceptively using images to mislead the ignorant.

Side note: Geologists are able to generally predict when the water breakthrough may occur. When I visited a few months ago, the ice had again expanded to cover the whole area of the arch. The pressure is now building and the clock is ticking for a new breakthrough and collapse. Imagine being the lucky visitor who shows up on the exact same day as the breakthrough. Well, the first video is what it looks like. Geologists believe that there is a good possibility that a water breakthrough and ice collapse will occur this year, sometime around March. Buy your flights now and remember, it has nothing to do with "global warming"!

Harold Ickes: Elections ‘Irrelevant’, Insiders Will Appoint Hillary...and Oh...Florida and Michigan Should Count for Hillary too

Top advisor to Hillary announces that the Democrat primary elections are "IRRELEVEANT" because the "superdelegates" (party insiders) will appoint Hillary. The arrogance of this anti-democratic attitude is hard to understate and I would suspect that Obama will cease upon Ickes' words in a big way. Ickes/Clinton also flip-flopped on the question of Florida and Michigan. Initially, supporting the sanctions on those two states, they now want them in Hillary's camp. Meanwhile, I was surprised to learn that Senator Joe Leiberman was recently striped of his status as a "superdelegate" for the Dems.

1) Appointing Hillary the nominee, even if she fails to win the majority of votes, the majority of states and the majority of elected delegates will be an insult to the African-American community that will be impossible to explain away. Not to mention an insult to the intelligence of every American.

2) It also reeks of a corrupt, smoke filled, backroom-deal, anti-democratic, old Soviet-style politburo appointment.

3) How disenfranchised Michigan and Florida voters who were written out of the Democrat elections will react is another question.

4) All of this of course flies in the face of every ridicules contention in past elections that Republicans disenfranchise and suppress voters...etc...When clearly, such accusations are far more applicable to the Democrats, as these developments colorfully illustrate.

In short, the Dems are now on a fast track to an ugly train-wreck!

Does Obama Really Walk on Water?

“We are the hope of the future,” sayeth Obama. We can “remake this world as it should be.” Believe in me and I shall redeem not just you but your country — nay, we can become “a hymn that will heal this nation, repair this world, and make this time different than all the rest.”

Hmmmmm: Is Barack Obama Orchestrating Fake Fainting Spells At Campaign Stops? Or are these just repeated cases of Barak-O-mania?

Congressman Frank Wolf: US Universities Pimping for Radical Islam in Exchange for Cash

Congressman Frank Wolf sent a stunning letter yesterday to Georgetown University questioning a $20,000,000 donation from a Saudi Prince, Alwaleed Bin Talal. To my knowledge, this is the first attempt by Congress to investigate the extensive Saudi infiltration and influence of Academia in the United States through the funneling of large amounts of petrol-dollars to "Islamic studies" programs across America. Hopefully, this is the beginning of a crackdown on the long-standing disgrace of US Universities pimping for radical Islam in exchange for cash.

"I write today to share with you my long-standing concerns about the influence and activities of the Government of Saudi Arabia… I hope you can understand my dismay…in light of Georgetown’s role in training American Foreign Service personnel and diplomats…

Specifically, I would like to know if the center has produced any analysis critical of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for example, in the field of human rights, religious freedom, freedom of expression, woman’s rights, minority rights protection of foreign workers, due process and the rule of law. It is also important to know if the center has examined Saudi links to extremism and terrorism, including the relationship between Saudi public education and the Kingdom-supported clerical establishment…and the rise of anti-American attitudes, extremism and violence in the Muslim world.

Finally, I request information on whether any of the Saudi-source funds have been used in the training, briefing or education of those going into or currently employed by the U.S. Government."

Imad Mughniyah, The Man Behind the Beirut Marine Barracks Bombing Killed

Hezbollah is blaming Israel for killing the most prolific terrorist of the 80's and 90's. This is the man behind the US Embassy bombing in Beirut, as well as the bombing of the Marine barraks that killed 241 servicemen. The largest single-day death toll of US military personnel since World War Two. He is also known to be responsible for the Bombing of the Jewish Community Center in Buenos Aires which killed 85 people.

If what the Arab press has rushed to announce is true, then that prize belongs to Meir Dagan and the Mossad. Iran saw Mughniyah as a crucial asset. Along with the Iranian ambassador and the commander of the Revolutionary Guard Corps, Mugniyah served as the Iranian presence in Lebanon. Whoever tracked Mughniyah down in Syria had excellent operational and intelligent abilities.
What truly amazes me is that US media are far more fixated today on whether Roger Clemens was injected with steroids years ago, then they seem to be in this huge story involving the mysterious targeted assassination of a man responsible for hundreds of American lives.

New York Times 07-10-2001: "The Declining Terrorist Threat" by Larry C. Johnson

The New York Blind:This is an Op-ed published in the New York Times on July 10, 2001, just two months before 9/11, almost to the day. The article was written by Larry C. Johnson a former State Department and CIA "counterterrorism specialist." If this article doesn't illustrate willful blindness and ignorance, I don't know what does. And this came from "the paper of record" and a former pathetic mind at the CIA. Good lord! Unfortunaltly, our intelligence community is still infested with surrender monkeys and blind folks like these. Instead of sweeping for listening devices, perhaps they should sweep these agencies for Stockholm syndrome sufferers.

A small sample:

"Judging from news reports and the portrayal of villains in our popular entertainment, Americans are bedeviled by fantasies about terrorism. They seem to believe that terrorism is the greatest threat to the United States and that it is becoming more widespread and lethal. They are likely to think that the United States is the most popular target of terrorists. And they almost certainly have the impression that extremist Islamic groups cause most terrorism. None of these beliefs are based in fact....Terrorism is not the biggest security challenge confronting the United States, and it should not be portrayed that way."

I realize it's an "op-ed", but really! This is right up there with the New York Times ignoring the Holocaust in the 30's and condemning Israel for taking out the Iraqi Nuclear reactor at Osirak in the 80's. How wrong do you get to be before you are considered a joke?

Romney Departs, McCain takes CPAC

For all the whining from a small, noisy minority of "conservatives" like Ann Coulter who are going to vote for Hillary, McCain delivers a strong message to CPAC and the vast majority of the crowed responded with a rousing, positive reception. McCain has done more for the conservative cause than all of these nattering-nabobs of negativism ever have. The whiners can go off and vote for Hillary/Obama, while real conservatives meanwhile will build a winning strategy for November. "They are not going to do that to themselves, despite what their base says...The idea that we've only got one person in this whole roster of candidates, either party, who is willing to take on the war on terror is frankly, absurd."

Really? Is Rush joining Ann Coulter and the small list of suicide-voters... Republicans willing the pull the lever for Hillary in the name of preserving their version of "ideological purity;" the political version of the Islamo-fundamentalist suicide bomber. Rush got slapped yesterday as voters ignored his hysterics about McCain.

Well, Well, Well...

...this is a real dose of reality for overly-excited bloggers and a few radio-talk show hosts. As I suspected, it is Romney who is taking votes from Huckabee, not the other way around. And as I suspected, McCain dominated with wins in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Illinois, California, Missouri, etc...

Holding Republican voters in contempt, as many of my fellow "conservative" pundits do, is no ticket to leadership. It is clear that Huckabee is pulling in as many, if not more votes than Romney! His supporters calling on Huckabee to withdraw is the height of Chutzpah and arrogance.

On the Democrat side, I still have no idea how any Dem can pull the lever for Hillary when a guy like Obama is clearly ten times the person she is. Obama did well, but stumbled in the big states. The hole he needs to dig out of is getting deeper. He needs to win Maryland, Virginia and DC next week just to keep his head above water.

UPDATE: Looks like I was slightly too negative on the Obama results. Politico is reporting that he picked up more delegates than Hillary. Additionally, Romney picked up a few more states in the West, making my point about Huckabee mostly applicable to the South (Which is key for any Republican, where Romney was running third).

Malkin, Atlas, etc... - Dyspepsia on the Right

Reading the hysterical reactions to John McCain by some of my fellow bloggers is truly entertaining. The rhetoric is so far over the top that it is by far a greater reflection on the character (or lack there of) of the bloggers themselves, than it is in any way on John McCain, a true America war hero. A few examples: Atlas Shrugs, carries the "shocking" news that McCain spent much of his prison time in Vietnam shacked up with prostitutes in a Hanoi apartment courtesy of the North Vietnamese Communist regime! Wow! Is there no shame? Seriously, what kind of person would peddle that stuff? Even the Enquirer is blushing. Malkin focuses in on how McCain keeps company with suspicious characters and wants to turn the Southwest of the United States into Mexifornia. Oh No!!! Bad, bad McCain!

This stuff is truly laughable! It reminds me of the Kos kids' hysteria about Joe Lieberman. It's the flipside...the exact mirror image of Kos. It's almost like you can't make this stuff up. Of course, there is a civilized way to promote Romney who seems a decent and good man, rather than engage in hysterical, personal character assassination and laughable smears about his opponent. I can't wait to see these folks campaigning for Hillary or promoting some whack-job third party candidate i.e. Ralph Nader, or a "conservative" version there of.

And Ann Coulter says that she will vote for Hillary over McCain. Again, confusing strong opinions with action, courage or achievement. Oh, yeah, she's the "real" patriot. Of course, Coulter was in diapers when all of this was going on, and Hillary was busy being a pot-smoking, Kum-ba-ya singing hippy-dippy collage gal studying to be a lawyer...because you know we don't have enough lawyers in this country. The Neocon Endorses McCain!

We are happy to extend our official endorsement to Senator John McCain. I find the hysterical reaction to McCain by some fellow conservatives distasteful. A true American war hero, pro-life and a real leader, not a slick pretender and fancy talker who has never done anything (like many of his critics from the Holy Church of "conservatisim"). To paraphrase Teddy Roosevelt: It is the man in the arena who counts, not the yappers in the bleachers. Some of my fellow conservatives tend to confuse strong opinions with action, courage or achievment. Yes, McCain is imperfect, as all of us are, and I don't agree with all of his past efforts on immigration, campaign finance or the 'no vote' on the Bush tax cuts. But on balance he has a conservative voting record and is an attractive candidate with an unbeatable resume and a wide appeal in the general public, which is exactly what we need right now. Most importantly, he truly gets the threat of radical Islam and has the longest resume on National Security issues, which is this site's top concern. JOHN McCAIN FOR PRESIDENT!

The Neocon Likely to Endorse McCain

As readers of this blog know, months ago, I endorsed Giuliani for President recognizing him to be an imperfect candidate, but most allied with our Neocon principles. The readers of this blog also know that I had been a supporter and contributor of John McCain in the 2000 primary process.

My candidate, Giuliani, has not fared as well as many of us would have wished for a variety of reasons; the first of which was his horrible campaign strategy to skip all of the early contests. It is what it is. Given this reality following Florida, now is the time for Giuliani to drop out of the race and endorse John McCain, and I fully expect him to do so in the coming days. That means that I too will be transferring my support from Giuliani to John McCain and encourage others to do the same.

I understand that many of my fellow conservatives dislike John McCain. Now is the time to face reality, show maturity and work with the candidate to secure a future that does not include Hillary as President of the United States. Now is also the time for McCain to work ceaselessly to create the classic winning coalition of all Conservatives; economic, security and social Conservatives. All of which are crucial elements if victory in November is to be secured.

Bill Clinton is a Racist

Bill Clinton is, and always has been, an old-style Southern Democrat racist. A slick, sophisticated operator who knows how to manipulate the African-American community like a fiddle...for his own purposes. But every so often, usually when emotions are running high and a lot is at stake... for him of course...the real Bill Clinton then emerges. That was the case today when it became clear that Hillary will lose in South Carolina. Bill's reaction? and I kid you not: "Jesse Jackson won South Carolina in '84 and '88. Jackson ran a good campaign. And Obama ran a good campaign here."

Message? Obama is just another Jesse Jackson (a Black agitator), running as "the Black candidate", not a "mainstream" candidate like Hillary. Jackson the "Black candidate" did not win the nomination, and either will Obama. Of course, true to style, Clinton packaged his dirty little race card in the form of a "compliment": "Jackson ran a good campaign and so did Obama." Really.

What a piece of work.

Romney Taken Out of Context: "I'm Not Concerned About the Voters"

The moment I heard the "I'm not concerned about the voters" quote during last nights Republican debate in Florida, I knew that somebody, somewhere, was already busy editing a video distorting those words. He never should have uttered those words because he should have known how political hacks and other creeps would use them.

Of course, Romney meant that he was not concerned that voters would know his campaign strategy; only that he is keeping his strategy close to the vest not to reveal it to his political opponents on the stage. In other words, it was a statement of respect for the voters which now can easily be edited into "I'm, not concerned about the voters", and played over and over again by creeps and liers. A textbook example of political sleeze. I support another candidate in this primary, but Romney deserves to be treated fairly.

Hillary-Obama: The Gloves are Off!

Just finished watching the South Carolina Democrat debate on CNN. Finally, a real debate! Hillary accused Obama of working for slum lords and Obama accused Hillary of being a corporate lawyer for Wall-Mart.

Generally speaking, to me at least, Obama comes across as an honest and decent person. I don't agree with virtually any policy position he holds, but compared to the corrupt Hillary Clinton, Obama is a model citizen of high integrity and decency. Hillary is oozing with classic Clinton-insincerity and sleaze. If I were a Dem, Obama would be my candidate, no question.

My fun at the Nevada Caucus

So I went to vote today at the Nevada Caucus. Until now, I had only voted in primaries, so this was my first experience voting at a real "caucus" and it was a different experience indeed. First, because everyone converges on the voting location at the same time (9:00 AM), parking was an issue. My Caucus location was at a high school, so when we finally found parking, we needed to locate the room that was to host my precinct; this was an ordeal because most people did not know the number of their precinct and were forced to crowd around a map on the wall at the entrance to the building, and then cross reference the precinct number with the room number, to be found on another poster on another wall. After that ordeal folks proceeded to their assigned rooms. Naturally, no-one was familiar with the building so everyone then spent the next 10 minuets walking around the hallways of this giant high-school looking for the right room number.

OK...you begin to get the picture. After finally finding the right room and presenting our identification, we all (about 40 of us) sat down and the process began. The Precinct Captain followed a set of written instructions. First, we filled out a card with suggestions for the State party to adopt at the upcoming convention. Then we held an "election" for seven delegates to the county convention. Seven of us (myself included) volunteered and were selected by unanimous consent.

Then it was time to get down to the meat of the matter. Supporters of each campaign were asked to speak on behalf of their candidate. Romney, McCain, Thompson, Huckabee and Giuliani had supporters who spoke eloquently for their candidate. Romney and Ron Paul were the only two campaigns that clearly had an organized effort to get people to the Caucus. Our room was stacked with wacky young Ron Paul supporters...I admired their passionate enthusiasm but...good lord! Anyway, the young Ron Paul supporter got up and told us how he was "blown away" by Paul's "awesome ideas" like returning to the gold standard and stopping the war against terror. A real eye-rolling moment.

Then ballots were handed out and everyone filled them out and returned them to the head table. I was asked to read the results out-loud. Romney received the most votes followed by Ron Paul, and the rest were divided up pretty much evenly among the other candidates. The results were tabulated, the ballots put in a sealed envelop and signed by two precinct member...and that was it. The entire process, from parking to driving off took a little over an hour.

My impression? Grass-roots, Smass-roots. The primary system is far better, and far less susceptible to manipulation than the Caucus system. I prefer the Primary system.

Iran seeks partners for construction of 19 reactors

And why shouldn't they? The US "National Intelligence Estimate" gave the holocaust denier a clean bill of health. What a joke.

Anyway, I was watching the Bush press conference from Jerusalem and was struck by the Presidents tortured interpretations and explanations of the US NIE report. I'm paraphrasing: "Even though my intelligence people completely contradicted themselves, as well as everything that I have been asserting about Iran over the past few years based on their assumptions, Iran is still a threat...sort of." How humiliating for our Commander in Chief to have his own intelligence community undermine his national security policy so publicly, that in a news conference on foreign soil he is forced to explain the unexplainable.

Iran speedboats 'threatened suicide attack on US' in Strait of Hormuz

It's only a matter of time. It's not if, but when. Iran has every interest in artificially spiking the price of oil, and what better way to to that than to maintain a constant sense of crisis and tension in the worlds most important shipping lane for oil?

The Neocon in Argentina

OK, I just got back from two weeks in Argentina, a country that I had never been to. The following is a quick summary: Buenos Aires is a large, hustling, bustling, highly condensed city of approximately 12 million people(including suburbs). I stayed in the heart of the city on Carlos Pellegrini Street, near the Obelisk (Image seen from the Hotel). There is great shopping along a gigantic promenade on Florida Street, a few blocks up from the Obelisk. The conversion rate is roughly 3 Pesos for a Dollar and prices in Argentina are still relatively inexpensive by Western standards. The subway system is surprisingly efficient and fairly easy to navigate. My favorite area was La Boca, the oldest neighborhood in the city. Colorful, a little raggedy with a charming tourist area that includes Tango street-dancing, cafes and shops of all sorts. The city is fast- paced and fascinating; dirtier than I expected, graffiti everywhere and more extreme poverty than I expected. The city has wonderful examples of old European colonial architecture. I highly recommend that you watch your wallet because it's no place for the naive. It feels a bit like Tel Aviv, Israel, or perhpas like a very large eastern European city if I was looking for an imperfect parallel; highly political, an emerging market with unlimited potential if only they could get their act together. Efficiency is not ingrained in the culture and standing in lines is something of a national past-time. In any event I give Buenos Aires a strong thumbs up for any persons seeking an authentic experience in a relatively safe country that has not yet been turned into Disneyland, like so many European cities. From Buenos Aires we traveled south to the Valdez Peninsula along the Patagonian coast to experience some of the wildlife. We traveled hundreds of miles on dirt roads to reach incredibly isolated colonies of Sea Lions, Elephant Seals and Magellanic Penguins, up close and personal in their natural habitat. There is no way to describe the strange feeling of walking among hundreds of thousands of Penguins (the largest colony outside of Antarctica) during the nesting season. From the Valdez Penensula, we traveled to the most southern areas of South America, basing ourselves in the little town of El Calafate. We spent the next few days on excursions to the massive Ice-fields of the southern Andean range. We explored the Spegazzini and Upsula glaciers, as well as the better known Porito Moreno glacier (in image). There is simply no way to describe the beauty of this place.

In short, I give Argentina a massive thumbs up as a destination location for any traveler with the slightest sense of adventure.

Travel

I will be traveling in South America for the holidays and will most likely be unable to post. I will share some of my experiences upon returning.

Culinary-Jews for Hillary

Polls indicate that Jews who are more concerned about the Caribou in Alaska than fellow Jews in Tel Aviv, are more likely to vote for Hillary Clinton. Polls also indicate that Jews who's primary expression of self-identity is to occasionally eat at the local Deli are also most likely to vote for Hillary. Hillary wins the pretend-Jew vote hands down.... What? I'm just say'in.

The Dangers Of A Zero Sum World

Palestinian PM Fayad: "Killing Terrorists is a Crime!"

Sequence of events:
1) The US announces $500,000,000 in aid to the Palestinian Authority.
2) Palestinian Islamic Jihad fires rockets into Israeli town from Gaza.
3) In response, Israeli Air force Attacks Car killing the leader of Islamic Jihad.
4) Palestinian Authority PM calls Israeli counter-attack "a crime and act of aggression against the Palestinian people."

So let's summarize this week so far:
1) Firing rockets into Israel is not worth a mention, and certainly not a "crime".
2) Israel Killing terrorists firing the rockets into its cities is a "crime" and "act of aggression".
3) So let's give a whole bunch of money to the Palestinian Authority.

It's just another week in the Middle East.

Iran indicates it is building another nuclear plant

And why shouldn't they? US "intelligence" has given the Holocaust denier a clean bill of health. Nuclear weapons? What nuclear weapons? With all their oil, they just want "peaceful" nuclear energy...and oh yeah, according to US "intelligence" Santa will be arriving on the evening of the 25th and the tooth fairy is alive and well, which is more than we know about Bin Laden.

'Argentina bombings ordered by Iran'

Iran: NIE Report is a US "declaration of surrender"

And of course, in many ways, Iran is correct. It is truly hard to understate the mind-boggling, collective stupidity of the US intelligence community. With a single US declaration, the entire international effort to isolate, apply political and economic pressure on Iran to halt its nuclear program has collapsed. Russia announced today that it is now moving forward with supplying nuclear fuel to Iran, China has completely dropped any pretense of joining a collective effort against Iran, and the EU have essentially abandoned all pretense of any effort to halt the Iranian march towards the bomb. This is clearly shaping up as the single greatest self-inflicted blunder in US intelligence history. The path is now clear for the Iranian bomb, or to be more precise: the radical-Islamic bomb, and those who compiled and published this NIE report will be accountable to history.

US Intelligence as dumb as a doorknob

To colorfully illustrate just how collectively stupid the US intelligence community is at the highest levels, all one has to do is read the headlines from the 2005 NIE report in contrast to 2007. This is what we get with billions of tax dollars spent on intelligence, bottom line:

May 2005 NIE report: "We believe with high confidence that Iran currently is determined to develop nuclear weapons."

November 2007 NIE report: "We judge with high confidence that in fall 2003, Tehran halted its nuclear weapons program."
I am truly embarrassed for these folks, and for our country. Wouldn't it be far better to publish no report at all? It would even be better to publish a report that honestly states something like this: "We judge with high confidence that we don't have the slightest freaking clue what is going on in Iran despite the billions of tax dollars that we consume."

From the 'you cannot make this stuff up' category: White House Press Secretary Dana Perino has no clue what the Cuban Missile Crisis was all about...Good lord!

To understand another certain type of moran working for US intelligence, check out the post below:

Michael Scheuer on Bill Maher:

If you want to know why Osama Bin Laden is still walking free, watch this video. Unfortunately, our government is full of people like this creep, Michael Scheuer, who was "in charge of the Bin Laden desk" at the CIA....Good lord! No wonder Bin Laden has never been caught. As dumb as a doorknob, as self defeating as a Stockholm syndrome sufferer, this loser also helps explain the mind-set behind the recently released NIE report. As usual, parts of Bill Maher's droid audience will clap at anything. And notice Scheuer's enthusiasm for Ron Paul. What a surprise.

Muslim Jumps in to Defend Jews attacked on NY Subway

I show a lot of negative aspects of Islam on this site, so when there is an opportunity to show a Muslim doing something positive, I feel a responsibility not to ignore it. Hassan Askari is a credit to his community. Check out the video here.

UN: We're All Going to Die!

...Unless you adopt my policies, of course.

It's like a skit from Saturday Night Live. By the way, I encourage everyone to get their FREE CARBON OFFSETS HERE. Following his proclamation that we are all doomed, UN Secretary General Ban flew to the US for a concert and then on to Europe for more fun, burning countless tons of carbon and single handedly contributing to the melting of the polar icecaps. We may need to ban Ban.

Lawrence O'Donnell: "I would like to criticize Islam, but I’m afraid for my life"

Ah, finally some refreshing honesty from a liberal media guy (Senior Political Analyst on MSNBC). Now if we could only get the rest of them to fess up we might be getting somewhere.

The Ad that was Too "Controversial" to run on NBC:

Watch the ad and judge for yourself if NBC executives pass the sanity test. Apparently they have now reversed themselves, but the initial rejection tells the real story.

If only Jeanne Assam was at Virginia Tech

Fortunately, unlike at Virginia Tech, the church didn't have a liberal do-gooder "gun-free zone" policy. The large gunman entered the building, more heavily armed than the Virginia Tech killer, but was confronted and taken down immediately by a small but armed woman, and countless lives were saved.

NIE Report a Major Threat to The Bush Legacy

If President Bush follows the sentiments expressed in the US National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) on Iran's nuclear program, history will judge him the worst US President in modern times; worse than Jimmy Carter, worse than Bill Clinton....by far. His Legacy will be:
'The President that allowed the worlds leading terror-sponsoring nation to acquire nuclear-weapons.'
It will be written on his tombstone; he will not be able to hide behind the NIE as his excuse for non-action on this crucial matter. All other issues pale in comparison; By historic standards, even Iraq will be seen as a minor skirmish compared to the monumental implications. The entire 'War on Terror' will be seen as a farce if the worlds number-one terror-sponsoring state develops the technological ability to evaporate entire cities, as the President of the United States hid behind the skits of a few Washington bureaucrats who have never accurately estimated anything of such magnitude, to justify his inaction.

Neocon Men of the Year...and losers of the Year:

Men of the Year:
Business: Sheldon Adelson:

Son of a Cab driver in Boston, now the third richest man in America. Philanthropist who gives to great causes. We also like the cut of his political jib. Unlike many other Vegas big-wigs, Adelson actually has a few principles that he believes in and acts on.

Education: Liviu Librescu:

Professor at Virginia Tech who blocked the door to his classroom with his own body so that all of his students could escape by jumping out the windows. Professor Librescu was the only person killed in his class as the gunman shot him through the door. A real hero who in death, taught his students the meaning of sacrifice and honor.

Military: General David Petraeus:

Hero of the Iraq war: Turned the war around by waging an effective counter-insurgency campaign, turning a failure into a widely recognized success story; Giving Democrats who are heavily invested in American defeat, serious heartburn.

Neocon Losers of the Year:

Ron Paul:
The pied-piper of neo-Nazi’s, 9/11 conspiracy nuts, anti-Semites, prostitutes, brothel owners, starry-eyed college kids and a wide assortment of other creeps who for some reason are attracted to him.

Dennis Kucinich:

Called the President “mentally ill”, and then announced that he has seen a UFO. Enough said.

Harry Reid:

Dreary, cold and inarticulate, unless he is trashing his own country; Described the Iraq war as “lost”….and by extension US troops as losers.

Nancy Palosi:Has brought congressional approval ratings to an all-time low; huddled with Syrian dictator Bashir Assad and claimed “the road to peace leads through Damascus.”

Israel: the NIE Report is a Bunch of BS

Once again, the US steps all over it's own %$#!, shoots itself in the foot and delivers a victory for terror and nuclear-seeking fundamentalist crazies. Liberals and Ahmadinejad declare victory. What a train wreck. Even if every word were true (a highly doubtful supposition), its release is still an unprecedented blunder and is in itself a real threat to national security. So the people who couldn't predict a nuclear North Korea, a nuclear Pakistan, a nuclear India, the fall of the Berlin Wall...and just about every major historic event ever, are now the last word on Iran. They spend billions in taxpayers money and are more naive, and less reliable than my nine-year-old and his five dollar a week allowance. They're truly popping the champagne corks from Tehran to the DNC headquarters in Washington. One could only conclude that the intelligence community of the United State is a joke and a national embarrassment....unless of course, all of this is part of an elaborate deception before striking Iran's nuclear facilities. I doubt that, however, because past history is so incredibly incompetent that one finds it hard to believe that they would even be capable of such a move. How seriously can you take an organization that has Barbie Doll blonds (like Valarie Plame) in charge of counter-proliferation? These folks can't even keep a secret from the NY Times for Christ's sake. I have lost faith, I really have.

Sunday Night: You Won't Find This on Al Jazeera:

Warning: not a beheading video. Infidels expressing themselves, could corrupt your mind. Inappropriate lyrics about infidel desires and emotions through decadent Western music; references to women not wearing vails and burkas....this is just wrong on so many levels. Allah Akbar!
