The Leftist President of Honduras who was attempting to pull a 'Chavez,' was ousted from office today. the President wanted a "referendum" to bypass the country's constitution and allow him to run for "reelection," ala Hugo Chavez in Venezuela. Indeed, Manuel Zelaya is a close ally of Chavez, Castro and Ortega.
The Honduran Supreme Court ruled the constitution-circumventing referendum to be illegal and everyone from Congress, the military, and members of his own party opposed it.
Enter Barack Obama. "I am deeply concerned by Zelaya's expulsion... I call on all political and social actors in Honduras to respect democratic norms, the rule of law and the tenets of the Inter-American Democratic Charter." Hmmm. meddling in Iran or anywhere in the Muslim world is a bad thing. Meddling on behalf of Chavez, Castro and Obama's lefty pals is a good thing. Wow!

Here's how Israel would destroy Iran's nuclear program
Here you will find an excellent analysis of how Israel might destroy Iran's nuclear facilities and what the aftermath might be. The authors are against a strike on Iran but offer very interesting scenarios. A thoughtful and carefully considered piece. I strongly disagree with the conclusion but I cannot dismiss it. Clearly doing something in Iran is a very bad option, doing nothing may be far worse. Here below are the authors conclusions, make your own judgement; I find it very naive"Only a clear and credible signal to the Iranians, indicating the terrible price they will pay for attempting a nuclear strike against Israel, will prevent them from using their missiles. The Iranians have no logical reason to bring about the total destruction of their big cities, as could happen if Israel uses the means of deterrence at its disposal. Neither the satisfaction of killing Zionist infidels, nor, certainly, the promotion of Palestinian interests would justify that price. Israeli deterrence in the face of an Iranian nuclear threat has a good chance of succeeding precisely because the Iranians have no incentive to deal a mortal blow to Israel."
So Israel should place its entire existence in the hope for rational thought and action from a person like Ahmedinejad? Hmmmm. I think I'll go with the other option as unappealing as it may be.

The Demographics of Islam
I think it's fair to say that we Jews are not in a position to meet this challenge even if we are procreating 24 hours a day (actually, I'm up for it but I don't think my wife is). In all seriousness, it looks like it's going to be up to our Christian brothers and sisters to save the world from this encroaching disaster. Please, get started:

US Continues to Stall on Swine Flue Action
As of this moment, all traces of swine flu in the US can be traced back to Mexico, yet the borders with Mexico continue to remain wide open, Flights from Mexico continue to arrive and all passengers continue to enter the US unscreened. The Obama administration remains without a Secretary for Health and Human Services, it remains without a Surgeon General, it remains without a Director for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there is no chief for the Food and Drug Administration, and the President openly says that Swine Flu is "not a cause for alarm." The United States calls European travel warnings to the United States "unwarranted" and an "overreaction".
It is hard to escape the impression that either politics is playing a larger role here than public health, or the media are simply blowing this out of proportion. The Obama administration better hope that this virus doesn't have legs because if it spreads as feared, people are going to remember this early vacillation and failure to act when it was still possible.

Somali Pirate Gets Free Trip to New York
Thanks to the Obama administration and courtesy of the US taxpayer, a Somali teen pirate got a free trip to New York, a free ACLU lawyer, and the paparazzi celebrity treatment upon arrival. "Damn, this looks pretty good compared to that hellhole hut that I lived in in Somalia. Will my cell have air conditioning and cable TV?... How about a greencard?" he was overheard asking.

Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.): Tea Party Protesters Are Despicable and Shameful... Almost as bad as my Husband
Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) blasted "tea party" protests yesterday, labeling the activities "despicable" and shameful", but forgot to mention that her husband is a convicted felon for tax violations and bank fraud, writing rubber checks and failing to collect withholding taxes and swindling nine financial institutions out of at least $2.3 million dollars. In court she testified on behalf of her husband: "In my heart, I know that these mistakes do not define or diminish this good man".
Good Lord!

Hillary: A Palestinian State Is in "Israel's Best Interest"
I find it interesting when politicians tell Israel what is "in its best interest". Not only is it laughingly condescending, it also sounds like a threat. Kind of like Don Corleone expressing what he thinks is "in your best interest". How could someone like Hillary from Chicago have the slightest idea what is in Israel's best interest? If she happened to have been born in...say, Saudi Arabia, she would be wearing a burka and serving as Abdul's fifth wife right about now. That's how the Arabs see her whether she knows it our not. That's the reality of that neighborhood. Can she guarantee that this "Palestinian State" won't serve as a platform for launching rockets into Israel all day long? Israel has had a lot of experience over the years with politicians cleverly framing their arguments in terms of "concern" for Israel, or what they think is in its "best interest". Maybe she should just stick to what she thinks is in America's best interest? That too is questionable, but at least she knows something about America.

US Palestinians to Jews: "Go Back To the Ovens"
I guess the real question here is how in the hell were these people allowed entry into the United States? This demonstration did not happen in London, Jeddah, Beirut, Paris or even Detroit. It happened in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Of course, many of the 9/11 hijackers spent a lot of time in Florida, including in flight schools.... but still, it's hard to imagine Fort Lauderdale as an epicenter of Islamo-fascism on display but here you have it:
This country is in big trouble if these folks feel completely comfortable publicly calling for genocide and Jihad and expressing hatred of America. Again; how in the hell were they even let into the country?

Daniel "Jew Boy" Kurtzer to Be Obama's Middle East Envoy
Like any other group, we Jews sometimes call each other the kind of names that would not be tolerated coming from non-Jews. Such is the case when it comes to the Baker/Obama "Jew Boys".
Apparently, Obama has decided to use the old-school tactic of getting Jews to do his dirty work for him when it comes to pressuring Israel for concessions to those who seek its destruction. James Baker was a big fan of the tactic and he had a small army of Jewish "diplomats" who became known in Israel as "the Baker Jew Boys" (in the most derogatory sense, in case anyone is confused). Of course, Kapo-Jews are easy to come by and in many ways, I have more respect for the old Kapo-Jews because they were at least trying to save their own skin. Today's Kapo's are in it to be close to power and live out a jetset lifestyle at other Jews expense. Nothing to be proud of there.
Now comes the news that Obama is in the process of selecting Daniel Kurtzer as his very special, Special Envoy to the Middle East. Kurtzer is one of the original "Jew-boys" along with Martin Indyk, Dennis Ross, Richard Haass, Aaron David Miller and a few others who pushed Yasser Arafat as a "legitimate negotiating partner" on behalf of forces in the US administration who wished Israel ill but didn't have the guts to confront Israel directly, so they hid behind the "Jew Boys" who are only too happy to play the role.
If you are offended by use of the term "Jew Boy", please understand that I certainly don't approve of the term and am merely quoting Israeli leaders, and many others throughout Israel who hold these folks in complete contempt for using their Jewish heritage as a tool for supposed "credibility" to pressure Israel on behalf of an anti-Israel leader seeking political cover.

American Jews Cannot Be Counted on For Israel's Security... And Israel Knows it.
It's embarrassing but true: Just as the vast majority of American Jews could not be counted on to stand up for European Jews during the height of the Holocaust, a solid majority of American Jews also cannot be counted on to put Israel's survival anywhere near the top of their concerns when going to the voting booth in November, or on any other occasion for that matter. Proof positive of that can be found in the polling data.
The Jerusalem Post pretty much summed this up recently in an editorial titled: We HOPE Obama will be supportive of Israel... we KNOW McCain will. That American Jews would be willing to gamble with "hope" above a proven commodity when it comes to Israel's survival, tells you exactly how important Israel ranks with a majority of Jews in the United States. I could hardly imagine a clearer test than this election. From the beginning of Israel's existence, only a small minority of American Jews courageously took to the cause of it's survival. Most American Jews have other causes on their minds: Abortion on demand, getting rich, socialism (I know, it's a contradiction), gun control, environmentalism, Liberalism and Democratic party politics have, to most, become a complete substitute for actual Judaism.
That is the sad state of affairs with American Jews. AIPAC tries to put on a brave face as if they represent a vast consensus of American Jews, when in fact, it's more like 20% of American Jews who rank Israel near the top of their concerns. The real force behind Israel's cause in the US comes not from the Jewish community but from the tens of millions of Americans, mostly but not exclusively religious Christian's and others who see Israel as an extension of American values, of Western values and a miraculous, historic redemption in our lifetime. Israel has been wise to look well beyond American Jews for the support it needs to survive.

Dick Morris: Most American Jews are Nuts!
Of course I agree with him. As a Jew myself I can get away with saying it openly. American Jews who have even the slightest concern for the survival of Israel are stone cold CRAZY if they vote for Obama!
