Big Polluting Newspaper Gets Government Tax Bailout

Washington State Democrats have decided to extend tax cuts to left wing newspapers. Technologically speaking it’s kind of like extending tax cuts to horse-buggy manufacturers in 1909 in the face of growing competition from the auto industry, only it’s much worse because the horse-buggy manufacturers were not in a position to promote the political agenda of a certain political party.

What makes this stink even more is that, in effect, they are also extending tax cuts to some of the worst polluters on the planet. Newspapers need trees chopped down for paper, that paper needs to be processed with all kinds of chemicals; Then massive amounts of ink from fossil fuel is applied and massive printing machines consume massive amounts of energy. A large fleet of carbon generating trucks burn endless amounts of gas to distribute the paper to every nook and cranny imaginable. And then when they are done polluting for the day, they start the polluting process all over again for the next day... every day. It’s truly disgusting and harmful to the environment. But hey, their on “our side”.

They should die off like the arrogant dinosaurs that they are and be made to get a real job:

Seriously, is there a single person in America who thought they would live to see the day when the President of the United States was making advertising decisions for a car company? Is there anyone out there who even grasps how pathetic that is? I mean even Kim Jong Ill doesn't micro-manage his economy to that extent. America 2009. Good lord.

Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) blasted "tea party" protests yesterday, labeling the activities "despicable" and shameful", but forgot to mention that her husband is a convicted felon for tax violations and bank fraud, writing rubber checks and failing to collect withholding taxes and swindling nine financial institutions out of at least $2.3 million dollars. In court she testified on behalf of her husband: "In my heart, I know that these mistakes do not define or diminish this good man".

AIG? Did You Know That Almost Two Thirds of Federal Employees Get Bonuses?

Our massive Federal Government employs well over a million and a half people, and usually about two thirds of them get bonuses every year even when the Federal Government screws up... like authorizing the AIG bonuses that they now oppose to begin with. Some bonuses were paid out to the leaders of quasi-government institutions like Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae that totaled in the tens of millions of dollars. Our President is expressing SHOCK at the AIG bonuses, but has no problem with far larger total amounts being paid out in bonuses to employees of the Federal government. And let us remember that the primary party responsible for this entire economic mess was not AIG but the Federal Government itself, who continues to pay out bonuses to their employees while complaining about others. Let us also not forget that both Chris Dodd and Barack Obama received lots of campaign cash from AIG, and they never complained about that.

My guess is that the economy is in far worse shape than anyone really wants to admit. Simply put, the world as we know it will not be the same when we finally come out of this mess years down the road.

Bye Bye Dubai

As people scramble for the exits in Dubai, there is no ‘key mail’, like in America, where people can often mail back their house keys and walk away from a mortgage without the immediate threat of jail. The jet-set crowd are literally fleeing this place for their lives, during the past few months leaving over 3000 cars stranded at the airport with keys still in the ignition. And the reason for this is that if you default on your Dubai mortgage during these tough economic times, you can end up in a debtors prison. I love this little YouTube of these German developers going down with the ship. German's never did seem to question the morality of a place like Dubai where Jews, and Christians, and sex, and alcohol and Israeli female tennis players, and just about everything else in life except money are frowned upon.

Of course, Obama's name does not appear on this letter because he was a defender of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac policies of pressuring banks to hand out sub-prime loans, and was the second largest recipient of Fanny and Freddie campaign contributions. He was in the tank for those who caused this entire mess, completely and absolutely; and this effort was blocked by Obama and Senate Democrats.

It is simply stunning that folks like Obama who caused this economic mess to begin with stand to benefit politically. With a straight face Obama blames others and now looks forward to socializing as much of the economy as possible to "save" us from the mess that he and his friend caused. A Democrat wet dream come true.
