The Reverend Wright disciple masquerading as the American President, today called for Auschwitz borders for Israel... saying that Israel's borders must be based on 1967 lines (eight miles wide). How predictable. Basically, Obama has adopted lock stock and barrel, the entire Arab plan for the destruction of Israel in stages. Fortunately, the Israeli Prime Minister told Obama that he can go 1967 himself. Israeli Knesset members have taken to calling Obama "the new Arafat". Leading GOP candidate accuses Obama of "throwing Israel under the bus". Obama's speech calling for Israel to withdraw to the 67 lines is in clear violation of written US commitments and assurances, proving the Obama administration to be untrustworthy and unreliable. Of course, withdraw to the 1967 borders would mean that virtually every single landmark of historic and religious significance, would fall under PLO/Hamas control. The indefensible 67 lines would put Israel's international airport, and virtually every major Israeli population center in mortar range. The country would be eight miles wide and could be cut in two within hours.

As the Syrian dictator is murdering his citizens in the streets, AP is reporting on Syrian citizen calling for US or Israeli military intervention to save innocent civilians from slaughter at the hands of the sick regime. Unfortunately for them, their calls are not likely to be heard, and only their own courageous actions will save them from mass murder and a life of subjugation. If things continue to develop on the current path, undoubtedly Syrian refugees will seek asylum in Israel as Palestinians did in September of 1970, following their failed uprising in Jordan. At the end of the day, all Arabs know that Israel is the only humane place in the Middle East, where life and freedom are valued and protected. We wish the Syrian people all the best in their difficult struggle for freedom. We hope that Israel and the United States will find ways to support their struggle and deliver them the means to protect and defend themselves against the murderous regime.

Israel's new anti-missile system was put to a real test for the first time moments ago and destroyed a Grad missile fired by Hamas terrorists from Gaza, aimed a civilians in southern Israel. This is an historic moment in anti-missile warfare, and marks the first time anywhere that a system specifically designed to destroy incoming missiles intercepts a missile in a real incident. Earlier last month, Israel's "Windbreaker" system intercepted an anti-tank missile shot at an Israeli tank by Gaza terrorists, also marking a first. These incidents mark the first real steps in what is ultimately meant as a complete neutralization of missile threats against Israel, and eventually to protect civilized people everywhere.
UPDATE: Unprecedented success as Iron Dome continues to knock multiple missile launches out of the sky. The system is designed to cover specific geographic areas, such as populated areas, the radar is linked to a computer that instantly calculates missile trajectories and decides whether to intercept or not based on where they are headed. Missiles headed towards open spaces are ignored, and only those representing a treat to populated areas are engaged, thus, although not a total solution, greatly lowering the risk of casualties on the Israeli side. Unfortunately, since the terrorists cowardly fire and hide behind civilians, Israeli counter actions will likely involve civilian casualties on the terrorists side.
If only more Muslims would show the courage of this wonderful woman, peace would be possible. And please keep in mind, this is no small matter. Higher profile people than her have been murdered for less in Pakistan. This woman is a real hero:

Obama rushed to Libya (where there is oil) to "protect the civilian population". But what about Syria (where there is no oil). Syria is a far more strategically important country than Libya, with far-reaching implications for regional peace. The regime has sinister alliances with Hezbollah and Iran, and certainly it would be in every ones interest to help foster regime change there, to something more moderate. The real face of the Syrian regime can be found in this video mowing down their own citizens. Thanks to modern technology, they can't hide their actions as easily as in the past while whining about "human rights". Exhibit A:
Of course, it is not unusual for Arab dictatorships to engage in wholesale massacres of their own people. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that any expression of opposition to the Syrian regime is met with wholesale murder in the streets. That Arab regimes would spend years lecturing the world (through the UN) about "human rights" is probably the single biggest affront to truth and decency on the planet. When their entire populations of women are subjugated and oppressed, when common people who seek basic freedoms that we take for granted every day such as free expression, are met with murder in the streets, the real face of the Arab world is laid bare for everyone to see. And thanks to modern technology, everyone can see.

So let me get this straight; public employee unions force workers to pay dues. The unions then take those forced-dues and pay politicians. It was a bad day for Egypt, and a bad day for the Obama Administration. First CIA Chief Leon Panetta declared that Mubarak "will likely step down today". Within hours, Mubarak announced that he will stay on until September. That's what we get for billions of taxpayer dollars on "intelligence".

There are ominous signs that the Earth's weather patterns have begun to change dramatically and that these changes may portend a drastic decline in food production - with serious political implications for just about every nation on Earth. The drop in food output could begin quite soon, perhaps only 10 years from now. The regions destined to feel its impact are the great wheat-producing lands of Canada and the U.S.S.R. in the North, along with a number of marginally self-sufficient tropical areas - parts of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indochina and Indonesia - where the growing season is dependent upon the rains brought by the monsoon.
The evidence in support of these predictions has now begun to accumulate so massively that meteorologists are hard-pressed to keep up with it. In England, farmers have seen their growing season decline by about two weeks since 1950, with a resultant overall loss in grain production estimated at up to 100,000 tons annually. During the same time, the average temperature around the equator has risen by a fraction of a degree - a fraction that in some areas can mean drought and desolation. Last April, in the most devastating outbreak of tornadoes ever recorded, 148 twisters killed more than 300 people and caused half a billion dollars’ worth of damage in 13 U.S. states.
To scientists, these seemingly disparate incidents represent the advance signs of fundamental changes in the world's weather. The central fact is that after three quarters of a century of extraordinarily mild conditions, the earth's climate seems to be cooling down. Meteorologists disagree about the cause and extent of the cooling trend, as well as over its specific impact on local weather conditions. But they are almost unanimous in the view that the trend will reduce agricultural productivity for the rest of the century. If the climatic change is as profound as some of the pessimists fear, the resulting famines could be catastrophic. "A major climatic change would force economic and social adjustments on a worldwide scale," warns a recent report by the National Academy of Sciences, "because the global patterns of food production and population that have evolved are implicitly dependent on the climate of the present century."
A survey completed last year by Dr. Murray Mitchell of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reveals a drop of half a degree in average ground temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere between 1945 and 1968. According to George Kukla of Columbia University, satellite photos indicated a sudden, large increase in Northern Hemisphere snow cover in the winter of 1971-72. And a study released last month by two NOAA scientists notes that the amount of sunshine reaching the ground in the continental U.S. diminished by 1.3% between 1964 and 1972.
To the layman, the relatively small changes in temperature and sunshine can be highly misleading. Reid Bryson of the University of Wisconsin points out that the Earth's average temperature during the great Ice Ages was only about seven degrees lower than during its warmest eras - and that the present decline has taken the planet about a sixth of the way toward the Ice Age average. Others regard the cooling as a reversion to the "little ice age" conditions that brought bitter winters to much of Europe and northern America between 1600 and 1900 - years when the Thames used to freeze so solidly that Londoners roasted oxen on the ice and when iceboats sailed the Hudson River almost as far south as New York City.
Just what causes the onset of major and minor ice ages remains a mystery. "Our knowledge of the mechanisms of climatic change is at least as fragmentary as our data," concedes the National Academy of Sciences report. "Not only are the basic scientific questions largely unanswered, but in many cases we do not yet know enough to pose the key questions."
Meteorologists think that they can forecast the short-term results of the return to the norm of the last century. They begin by noting the slight drop in overall temperature that produces large numbers of pressure centers in the upper atmosphere. These break up the smooth flow of westerly winds over temperate areas. The stagnant air produced in this way causes an increase in extremes of local weather such as droughts, floods, extended dry spells, long freezes, delayed monsoons and even local temperature increases - all of which have a direct impact on food supplies.
"The world’s food-producing system," warns Dr. James D. McQuigg of NOAA's Center for Climatic and Environmental Assessment, "is much more sensitive to the weather variable than it was even five years ago." Furthermore, the growth of world population and creation of new national boundaries make it impossible for starving peoples to migrate from their devastated fields, as they did during past famines.
Climatologists are pessimistic that political leaders will take any positive action to compensate for the climatic change, or even to allay its effects. They concede that some of the more spectacular solutions proposed, such as melting the Arctic ice cap by covering it with black soot or diverting arctic rivers, might create problems far greater than those they solve. But the scientists see few signs that government leaders anywhere are even prepared to take the simple measures of stockpiling food or of introducing the variables of climatic uncertainty into economic projections of future food supplies. The longer the planners delay, the more difficult will they find it to cope with climatic change once the results become grim reality.

Earlier we explored Newsweek Magazine's "global cooling" alarmist article in 1975. Now lets us explore Time Magazine's alarmist "global cooling" article from June of 1974. As it turns out, the press was awash with warnings of a new ice age in the 1970's, a decade known for strange cults. Of course at the time (just as now) people thought that they were at the peak of scientific knowledge and that they had a firm grasp on the science, which proved to be complete bunk... and will likely be proven as such again; Time's recent scarry headline (in image) not withstanding. So I give you Time Magazine's 1974; the coming ice age: Natural gas reserves in the Leviathan structure off Israel total 16 trillion cubic feet of natural gas (and is probably just the begining). Noble Energy CEO Davidson: Leviathan is "easily the largest exploration discovery in our history." It is also the largest natural gas discovery globally, anywhere, in the past decade. Enough gas has been discovred to supply Israel's needs for over 100 years.

Meanwhile, in another potential game-changer, Rupert Murdoch and Lord Rothchild are investing in a new Israeli method of energy production. The company believes that its shale oil cracking technology can free the world from dependence on Arab oil and turn Israel into an energy powerhouse able to produce 300 billion barrels of non-conventional oil at a cost of up to $40 per barrel.
Of course, Israel is already on the road to becoming a major energy exporter with the discovery of massive amounts of natural gas off of it's Mediterranean coast.
