Zogby International did a scientific poll of Obama voters and established with mathematical precision that Obama voters were collectively, the dumbest group of voters to ever elect a President of the United States. Many people took issue with that poll because Zogby did not contrast and compare his Obama results with McCain voters.
Well, following the uproar, Zogby has now conducted the same poll on McCain voters and guess what; The scientific poll confirmed that McCain voters were indeed, collectively far more informed than Obama voters on very basic questions, such as which party controls the US Congress.
Update: Perhaps the word "dumb" is a little harsh. "Uninformed" would probably be a better word.

Amazing, for the past eight years the Republicans have relied on the ignorance of the average American voter to push an agenda that has proven ineffective. Now they moan and turn derogatory as those same "uninformed" voters turned on them after bearing the brunt of the most failed administration in modern times. I find it interesting that the Republicans, who appealed to the lowest common demoninator in their own base by selecting an equally uninformed Sarah Palin as a supposedely viable VP candidate, consider Obama's message as elementary. Evidently, those stupid voters were at least smart enough to know that Joe the Plumber wasn't really a plumber, or a potential business owner; or that additional tax breaks to the wealthy don't really "trickle down"; or that the meltdown on Wall Street wasn't the result of a hard-working middle class, but the fault of a spoiled and unregulated white collar financial sector whose greed and arrogance overwhelmed their common sense. Perhaps the Obama message resonated with the masses because, in fact, change really is what we need and quite possibly, yes, we really can. You betchya.
ReplyDeleteOn Pres elect Obama: It is what it is. Accept it and move on. Only time will tell. God bless AMERICA.
ReplyDeleteI still say he doesn't qualify and should never have been in the race. HE IS NOT A NATURAL BORN AMERICAN, so who dropped the ball on that one!!!
ReplyDeleteI would say for that to get by the general public, and the national convention, that the OBAMA voters were actually the dumbest voters ever!
ReplyDeleteWe are in for the biggest mess the USA has ever gone through! Just wait, those that voted for Obama will be crying hurt, with in a year of him taking Office. Those who sit back, and want a handout, are the only ones who voted for him anyway.
ReplyDeleteAnd how about the Birth Certificate? Has it ever been presented yet? Don't think so!
Kitc1981 is offended. Please understand that I am merely quoting the Zogby scientific poll. Zogby was certainly not a Bush supporter, if anything he opposed Bush. He is a well known and highly recognized pollster in the US. Take it up with him. The numbers don't lie. Liberals do.
ReplyDeleteI must have misunderstimated Bush voters. Let's see if Obama has a desk calendar full of dumb quotes by the time he's finished!
ReplyDeleteSo far it's the Republican leaders who don't have a book to their name or even know how to spell potato. It's a funny call to be making.
Oh, and Anonymous, Hawaii is part of the US.
1) This website has never promoted the rediculas "birth certificate" issue.
ReplyDelete2) Obama is already worthy of a desk calender full of dumb quotes, and I would be happy to make one:
"I have visited 57 states"
"Hold on one second, sweetie, we're going to do -- we'll do a press avail." --to a female reporter.
"In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died -- an entire town destroyed." --on a Kansas tornado that killed 12 people
"I'm here with the Girardo family here in St. Louis." --speaking via satellite to the Democratic National Convention, while in Kansas City, Missouri, Aug. 25, 2008
"Just this past week, we passed out of the out of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee -- which is my committee -- a bill to call for divestment from Iran as way of ratcheting up the pressure to ensure that they don't obtain a nuclear weapon." --referring to a committee he is not on, Sderot, Israel, July 23, 2008
"Let me be absolutely clear. Israel is a strong friend of Israel's. It will be a strong friend of Israel's under a McCain...administration. It will be a strong friend of Israel's under an Obama administration. So that policy is not going to change." --Amman, Jordan, July 22, 2008
"How's it going, Sunshine?" --campaigning in Sunrise, Florida
"On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes -- and I see many of them in the audience here today -- our sense of patriotism is particularly strong."
"The point I was making was not that Grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn't. But she is a typical white person."
"My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world.
I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it."
These are all ten times worse than Quayle misspelling Potato. But in fairness to Obama, his gaffes are nothing compared to Joe Biden the gaffe machine.
3) Zogby is not a Republican pollster, he even stated is preference for Obama on a few occasions. The poll is scientific with a specific margin small of error.
Very snappy comeback. I have to say, in the spirit of inclusiveness, that the Republican gaffes are a good deal funnier than the Dems. The Obama desk calendar would be deadly dull whereas you just can't go past "She's a good old gal from Texas.. and so am I!" to brighten your day.
