The Neocon Congratulates the State of Israel on its sixtieth anniversary. Against impossible odds, through incredible trials and tribulations, Israel lives, while those who oppose her increasingly find themselves lurking in the darkest corners of the human mind. While Israel represents progress, hope, light, freedom and life itself... her enemies increasingly represent hate, resentment, slander, jealousy...and a culture of death. 
Of course, this is not new... it was always so, as this image of the Mufti of Jerusalem and his close personal friend illustrates. The Mufti did not represent the thoughts of most Arabs at the time. But unfortunately, His world view is more compatible with mainstream Palestinian thought today than it was back then. 
And so, while the haters of Israel wallow in dark corners, contributing nothing to humanity, other than "innovations" like the suicide bomber and the IED... Israel continues to build, thrive and contribute to the rest of humanity through science, technology and culture....while providing a refuge to millions who arrived with little more than the shirts on their backs.

How is a theocracy also a democracy? It strains credulity and the dictionary to call a country a democracy whose mission has been to exile all those potential voters who might lead the county in a direction away from its "chosen" purpose.
