Obama's Great Uncle is Great Indeed

SPIEGEL: Mr. Payne, early in June your great-nephew, President Barack Obama, will visit the former concentration camp Buchenwald, which you helped liberate at the end of the war. Will he be travelling in your footsteps?

Charles Payne: I don't buy that. I was quite surprised when the whole thing came up and Barack talked about my war experiences in Nazi Germany. We had never talked about that before. This is a trip that he chose, not because of me I'm sure, but for political reasons.

In a fascinating interview in the German magazine Spiegel, Obama's Great Uncle Charles Payne speaks clearly. This is a man from a generation that cannot be bothered with the spin and BS that Politicians like Obama spew. He is a Democrat. He supports his family and wishes his nephew nothing but success. But he will not be part of any BS propaganda campaign. I instinctively like this man. I can sense an honest man when he speaks, and this is an honest man. Notice how he refuses to exaggerate or spin his contributions. The facts speak loudly enough. I hope that the President asks him to join him on that trip. Perhaps the president will actually learn something other than public relations.
