US and Israel Sign Hamas Anti-Smuggling Agreement? PR BS.

As with the Oslo agreement, The Neocon Express can smell BS from miles away, and this smells like a whole lot of Clintoneque PR BS. "The US and Israel sign an agreement to limit weapons smuggling to Hamas." GIVE ME A BREAK! Shouldn't Hamas agree to this? Or at the very least Egypt? Who is going to enforce this and how? No word on that.

The United States and Israel signed an agreement Friday intended to assure that Hamas militants will not be able to rearm if the Jewish state agrees to a Gaza cease-fire. In front of an array of reporters and camera crews, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and visiting Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni signed the "memorandum of understanding" at the State Department.
In short, what we have here is the United States and Israel posturing to make it look like some kind of an "achievement" when the shooting stops.

  1. And who is going to enforce this exactly? The Obama Administration? That's a laugh. A sardonic one, but a laugh just the same.

I just can't understand why Israel just doesn't tell the Gazan's that they have 3 months to decamp and then just annex Gaza to Israel. Problem solved.
