I have worked with Michael Steele when we served together on the Advisory Committee of the Export-Import Bank of the United States a few years ago. I have seen his leadership capabilities first hand. He has the right temperament and core Republican principles of limited government, a strong national defense and an unyielding commitment to freedom (including free markets). He makes a good impression on TV, is persuasive, eloquent and knowledgeable on a wide range of issues from domestic policy to trade and international affairs. He has the experience and knows the nuts and bolts of the party well. I am happy that Michael has agreed to throw his hat in the ring for party Chairman. I am formally extending my support for Michael Steele for Chairman of the Republican National Committee and will work hard to see that he wins. I hope others will seriously consider his candidacy.

A little late to comment but..So far I like what I haer from the man. he seems to understand the Repubs haven't had a spokesman the could effectively communicate the parties platform since Ronald Reagan and in this new internet dominated world Conservatives need to perfect new skill sets without abandoning principal.
