Of course, those of us who are reasonably well off are the last to feel this type of thing, so to most in the US, this is not yet on our radar screen. I believe that the poorer countries are like the miners Canary, and are an indication of things to come unless counter-measures to this trend are taken and are effective. The world was and always has been about three meals away from total chaos
