US: "We are not going to live with a nuclear North Korea"

North Korea "can have a future, or it can have these weapons. It cannot have both...We are not going to live with a nuclear North Korea," Assistant Secretary of State Chris Hill told the U.S.-Korea Institute at Johns Hopkins University Wednesday. "We are not going to accept it." Them is real fight'n words, time will tell how serious we really are. Meanwhile, a military plane capable of detecting radiation has taken off from southern Japan amid concerns over the threatened nuclear test. The plane, which can collect and analyze radioactive substances in the air, took off from the U.S. air base at Kadena on the southern island of Okinawa.

A new report claims that an Israeli company discovered oil at a drilling site near the Dead Sea. If true, and the discovery is sizable, that will have a substantial impact on the balance of power in the Middle East. As is, Israel has no major natural resources and still has an economy twice the size of Saudi Arabia which sits on the largest known oil reserves in the world.

Meanwhile,French Police report that "Muslims are waging civil war against us." Thhat's pretty strong language and will likely impact the upcoming French election, helping hard-liner Nicolas Sarkozy in his bid to replace the whinnie President Chiraq.
