Christopher Hitchens Puts Bill Maher in his Rightful Place

I recently watched this episode with Christopher Hitchens on the Bill Maher show and was impressed by Hitchens’ handling of Maher’s demagoguery, and especially with his handling of the intellectually infantile studio audience that Maher seems to attract. Fortunately somebody edited out the nonsense coming from the other guests so we could get the full flavor of Hitchens’ remarks and they are that much more powerful. I remember it was not that many years ago that I held Hitchens in low regard. He has come a long way from his pathetic days as a Marxist and has evolved into a powerful, clear- thinking intellectual.
