Nuke Nightmare: Living on Borrowed Time

Over ten years ago, the Neocon met with Newt Gingrich in a small private meeting in Los Angeles, in which Gingrich expressed the view that “in our life time, it is probable that we will witness the elimination of a major population center by a nuclear terrorist attack.” At the time, I remember thinking that Mr. Gingrich was probably something of an alarmist, and although I thought that he was theoretically correct, I certainly did not view it as a realistic, real-world scenario. The past few months however have convinced me that Mr. Gingrich’s fears were far more realistic than I had imagined, and I now tend to share his frightening view. This article in World Magazine is a worthwhile read on the disturbing subject.
