Chris Matthews: Russert Was Just a Dupe

Matthews: Russert was was too "typical American," not very sophisticated like me. Was unable to see through phony administration argument for Iraq war:

The two biggest clowns in American Opinion-TV try to go "deep" on Russert and fall flat.

Russert towered above these two clowns and they know it (especially KO). They also know that neither of them could ever expect to receive anything like the avalanche of accolades now deservedly showered on Russert; moral and intellectual midgets not qualified to clip Russert's toe nails.

  1. You're damn right on this one. "Intellectual midgets" is dead-on.
