Well if the shoe fits. How anyone can construed a general statement against appeasing terrorists as an attack on anyone but the terrorists themselves is beyond me. Obama's hyper-defensive reaction is far more revealing about Obama himself than about Bush.
Notice how MSNBC echo the Dem line that this is an attack on Obama, even though the President never mentioned Obama or Democrats. These are the exact words. Please judge for yourself why Obama and the Democrats would see this as an attack on them (unless they know it to be true):
"some people believe the United States should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along. We have heard this foolish delusion before, as Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: 'Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is—the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history."US actor John Voight applauds President Bush's speach in Jerusalem Indeed real Americans defend freedom in general.
Like the Canary in the Coal Mind, Israel's survival is directly linked to the survival of the West.
