"Once again led by its research and development center in Haifa, Israel, Intel Corp., the world's largest semiconductor manufacturer, on Monday unveiled its smallest and fastest processing chipset. Codenamed Penryn, the processors, including 16 eco-friendly and "cooler" chips, are the first to be produced on the company's 45 nanometer (nm) manufacturing process. Intel's Israeli R&D facilities have been at the forefront of its technological breakthroughs contributing to technologies such as the Core 2 Duo and the 65nm multi-core microprocessor, which serves as the bais for the Intel Viiv and Centrino Duo mobile technologies. "I'm still holding my breath for that Arab technological breakthough that will assist all of mankind...and I don't mean IED's and suicide belts.

ReplyDeleteI remain amused by the lack of ANYTHING of value coming out of the Arab community in the ME. With all these Muslim "scholars" I read about in the papers, one would think at least SOMETHING of value might arise from all this study. But, alas, NOTHING.
As you correctly note, they have perfected the IED in all its variations: vehicle, individual and buried. Nice job boys!
I ask myself, 'What do they study at all those ME universities?'
Congratulations to the Israeli scientists who contributed to this chip breakthrough. I'm hopeful that once the Jihadists get their way and destroy Israeli, thereby lifting the Jews' choking oppression, the Jihadists will put down their IEDs and instead pick up an engineering degree. Breakthroughs in science await us all.
