Israel to Allow Nayef Hawatmeh Into the West bank: Was Responsible for the Massacare of Ma'alot School Children in 1974

Many of us are old enough to remember the Ma'alot massacre in 1974; members of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, headed by Nayef Hawatmeh, infiltrated Northern Israel from Lebanon and after a short killing spree, they entered a school building in the small town of Ma'alot. They took around 90 children hostage; when a rescue attempt was mounted, they killed 26 children in cold blood and injured about 60 more. Nayef Hawatmeh, leader of the DFLP and the man behind that atrocity is now being invited into the West Bank to strengthen the hand of Palestinian President Abbas in his internal battle against Hamas. What a disgusting little piece of "real politic." I guess for some folks in Israel's political class, bygones should be bygones, even when it comes to the murder of children if it suits the political winds of the moment. Ma'alot was truly the Beslan of the 1970's; an inexcusable atrocity and I am truly surprised that Hawatmeh was not hunted down and eliminated like other top PLO murderers who were responsible for less mayhem than himself.

  1. Nice blog. Thanks for bringing another conservative voice to the web! I am trying to get a conservative digg alternative going called GOP Hub (GOPhub.com). Anything you can do to help this effort by spreading the word would be awesome. Plus you are more than welcome to submit links to any articles you write on your blog. At any rate, take care and have a great day!

  2. SHAME. Will we ever wake the hell up?! Besides Nayef Hawatmeh being a marxist with profound hate for the Jews, his hands are in blood up to the elbows. Americas do not know about the school "episode". UN does not talk about anything like this.
He is a politician now! Even the FoxNews try to paint this scam as a moderate. If current flavor of the week Israeli government, needs Hawatmeh in order to go on - God help us. How can you legitimize murderers like this one. Oh I forgot, if we can kiss Arafat on the cheek, if we can throw the nation's heroes from their home in Gaza, if can appease a murderous dictator in Syria by entertaining the idea of giving up Golan Heights , then why not?! Why not the dirt like Hawatmeh? After all it's all politics. Right? So we lost 26 or so children that had no chance. But it was so long ago.. Quarter of a century. Should we hang on to our emotions and hate forever? This pain is long gone..RIGHT? WRONG !!!! I would like to know if it was Olmert's son who was kidnapped while on duty, if it was Peres's grand daughter killed in that school - would they still impose their personal impotence as a matter of "new policy". We are going to loose Israel. Then we are going to loose the world.
