In a shocking "upset" for the ages, Syrian President Assad claimed a razors-edge victory in the Syrian elections with 97.62% of the vote approving him for a second term. A strong 1.71 percent voted against renewing Assad's presidency for another term... their fate is not entirely clear. Syrian democracy in action! An inspiration to us all.
