My "Global Warming" Week

New York enjoying another day of global warming.

My global warming week started off in Zacatecas Mexico, where during a business lunch we looked outside and it was snowing! The snow accumulated a bit to the point that we were able to engage in a minor snowball fight; the absolute last thing I would have expected to be doing in Mexico. Zacatecas is Mexico’s second highest city at slightly above 7,000 feet and locals tell me that once every decade or so they get a tiny dusting. I returned home via Mexico City where it was certainly colder than I expected and most folks were bundled up. Upon returning home, I noticed that my palm trees in the back yard are dying from the prolonged cold, as are thousands of other palm trees in town that have survived for decades. The next day I flew to Washington DC via Minneapolis where I changed planes. It was 12 degrees below zero in Minneapolis and my butt froze just stepping off the plane into the terminal sleeve. The sky was clear for most of the flight and I can say that from Utah all the way to Minneapolis and then on to Washington DC, the entire landscape is covered in white and pretty much looks like the polar ice cap for thousands of miles. The Potomac was frozen over in DC and folks are describing this as one of the coldest winters to hit the area since 1936. When I finally got back home yesterday, I described all of this to a lefty friend of mine and he says that “oh sure, global warming means colder winters.” You simply cannot win with these folks. If it’s too hot, it’s “global warming” if it’s too cold it’s...you guessed it, “global warming.” Hurricane katrina two years ago? Global warming. No Hurricane's at all last year? Global warming. Talk about the perfect argument, the global warming crowed are “right” no matter what happens.

  1. Joe: You nailed it again; the GW crowd is simply another faith-based religion; exactly the kind that the left despises when it criticizes Christianity.
In the beautiful Garden State it has been a week of sub-zero temps, combined with wind-chills into the single digits. Not one GW religionist has demanded that citizens limit their carbon footprint by turning down the heat in the home, school or hospital.
Why not? If they are true to their faith they'd lead the charge in turning OFF the furnace! Instead there is silence from them.
A few weeks back they were going crazy here because we were having a beautiful warmth wave. The weather was gorgeous; people were out taking walks, just enjoying the sunshine and mild temperatures. I could put out and take down the Xmas lights without freezing off my fingertips. GW enviros bitched the whole time.
In sum, this bunch, is just another sourpuss bunch of lib thugs wanting to turn back US capitalism. They feel guilty when we have ACCOMPLISHED so much as a nation when other loser nations stew in their socialist juices.
Anytime I see these stiffs at a protest, I tell them I am pro-Global Warming and desire to leave the biggest carbon footprint that I can. A typical lib response is anger, yelling and an extended middle finger.
Oh well, so much for just getting along.

  2. Yeah, well if you nonces did any research on the subject then you'd find that global warming doesn't mean everything is going to dry up and bake. Depending on where you are situated,it will have all kinds of different effects on the weather. Such as heavier rain and snow.

  3. Yes, well, like I said, you simply cannot win with these folks. If it’s too hot, it’s “global warming” if it’s too cold it’s...you guessed it, “global warming.” Hurricane katrina two years ago? Global warming. No Hurricane's at all last year? Global warming. This is a religious cult.
