Ouch, Tammy Bruce Flashback: "Hawaiian good luck sign"

You've got to love this jewel of a post by Tammy Bruce: You've probably heard the reports that Nancy Pelosi and Jack Murtha and other Democrats are off to Iraq on a "fact-finding mission". Am I being overly cynical in speculating their primary goals are politicking and photo-ops? With this in mind, I'm flashing back to a couple of other notorious political photo-ops.

Pictured above is a soldier who circumstantially became a prop in a Hillary Clinton photo-op. This valiant warrior, who prefers to remain anonymous, gave the well-known "duress" signal by discreetly crossing his fingers.

Facing a similarly ruthless enemy, the brave sailors of the USS Pueblo, captured by the North Koreans in 1968, surreptitiously flashed the "middle fingered salute" when being posed for propaganda photos. They clandestinely agreed that, if pressed, they would explain the gesture as a "Hawaiian good luck sign".

  1. Hmmmmm I just gave the Hawaiian good luck sign 3 times on my way to work this morning. See, I can't be accused of not sharing the love.

  2. It is great fiction and anti-Hillary material but not true! The guy in question was asked and didn't realize how his fingers were formed around the item he was holding. As a Captain in the US Army I would hope he knows what it means to be an officer and a gentleman. Plus that photo was taken in late 2003! Very old and with Hilliary running all the ancient stuff will be pulled out again.

  3. I believe the better consideration is -- how can leaders advocating a retreat-in-defeat be using troops they wish to bring home in shame instead of victory for photo ops!

  4. Actaully, Danny, the guy in question has prefered that his name remain unknown. Click on the headline which will lead you to snoops.com, who are in the business of confirming or debunking internet rumors. This photo is confimred as true.

Did you actually read what I posted? That photo is almost four years old. Taken way before the current attitides towrds the war surfaced.

The man in the picture is with the 82nd Airborne and DIDN'T do it on purpose.

I am no Hillary fan, but if Conservative start with the same old tommy-rot from the late 90's concerning the Clintons we head towards the thing we profess not to want see happen.

I have listen to Limbaugh, Hannity, etc. they are back on the air talking about Whitewater, Vincent Foster, Lewinsky, impeachment. The American people don't want to hear that stuff. If they continue to that the Clintons win.

I stand by my statements of the picture because I still have it on my military computer. If the guy wants a military career and Hillary becomes President he will backtrack or he will be a civilian.

By the way, the fatiques (BYUs) he is photographed in with Hillary haven't been used since early '04. That proves when the picture was taken!
