Roger Ailes: The Right Man For Fox News

It really is worth recalling from time to time what the US media was like before Fox New. We may take Fox News for granted today, but think of a world where political talk radio and the internet had yet to emerge and Dan Rather, Peter Jennings, Tom Brokaw, the New York Times and CNN controlled the news; ALL OF THE NEWS. Our entire world was viewed from their lenses. Every article, every segment came with their particular spin, marching, (some would say goose-stepping) in an endless liberal parade every single day with an overpowering stench of arrogance and elitism that never seemed to end. Coverage of the Middle East was like watching al Jazeera. Conservatives were buffoons not to be taken seriously, and certainly not to be portrayed as “mainstream” in any way. Today, there is an alternative and that explains why Fox News regularly defeats its cable competition by more than 2 to 1 in daily ratings. Yet even this one single outlet cannot be tolerated by an insecure and fading liberal establishment. Having CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, the New York Times and Washington Post on their side is not enough. One single outlet that is audacious enough to also give the conservative perspective is a threat to their entire world. So we congratulate Roger Ailes (in the photo), and Rupert Murdoch for having the vision and business savvy to recognize the huge void that was only waiting to be filled, and as you approach your 10th anniversary, millions salute you for liberating the news from the harsh liberal occupation.
