A Special Place in Hell For Richard Armitage

For over 3 years Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald investigated the so-called CIA leek story. As it turns out, Mr. Fitzgerald, and former Secretary of State Colin Powell knew who the leeker was all along; it was Deputy Undersecretary of State Richard Armitage, who early on informed them that he was the source. All three men kept that information secret for over 3 years and let a phony scandal unfold; millions in taxpayers funds were spent, reporters went to jail; careers and lives were ruined, reputations dragged though the mud; an entire administration was distracted with nonsense during war-time, and even the oposition Democrats were falsly lured into making hay of an issue that turned out to be complete farce. Yet, these three men sat back, watched it all unfold and said nothing. What a disgrace. Armitage is disgrace number one, with Colin Powell and Patrick Fitzgerald coming in a close second.
