ANOTHER BETRAYAL BY FRANCE

Today is another day, so we may expect another French betrayal. Having coddled and protected Saddam Hussein to the last, having flip-flopped on their Lebanon Peace-keeping commitments; now comes the reversal on an even more serious situation, Iran. "Iran should not be asked to stop uranium enrichment as a precondition," Chirac said in a stunning reversal. "And there is no sense to refer the Islamic Republic back to the Security Council” (for sanctions). In short, France, like the Vichy regime of the past, once again joins the enemy, abdicates all responsibility and leaves it to the rest of us to clean up the mess.
