'Ahmadinejad would sacrifice half of Iran to wipe out Israel'

Speaking of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Israel's former National Security advisor, Giora Eiland, predicted today in the Jerusalem Post that if he ever became the supreme decision maker in his country, which is a distinct possibility, he would "sacrifice half of Iran for the sake of eliminating Israel." Ahamadinajad "has a religious conviction that Israel's demise is essential to the restoration of Muslim glory, that the Zionist thorn in the heart of the Islamic nations must be removed. And he will pay almost any price to right the perceived historic wrong." The article then goes on to explain the options in dealing with Iran, all of which are bad and worse than bad. This was one of the most depressing articles the Neocon has read in some time. It was accompanied by an image of Ahmadinejad literally looking like the devil.
