In a Hezbollah attack emanating from Lebanon, seven Israeli soldiers were killed and two were kidnapped. Hezbollah, acting as a State within a State in Lebanon is backed by Syria and Iran. This was an obvious and clear act of war coming from one sovereign State (Lebanon) on another (Israel). Unfortunately, the scope and nature of the attack means that the gloves will have to come off. This also means that Israel is facing a two front confrontation, Gaza in the south and Lebanon in the North. It looks like a long hot summer ahead.
