We certainly live in interesting times: A nuclear armed North Korea seems to be spinning out of control, destabilizing East Asia with ongoing missile firing; a new massive terror plot in New York City is uncovered; Iran moves full steam ahead with nuclear weapons development; The Hamas terror regime escalates the process of Middle East destabilization; The ongoing critical effort in Iraq moves forward; However, today’s award for bad-guy misbehavior has to go to Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who warns of a worldwide “Islamic Explosion” should Israel continue its counter-terror operations in Gaza, warning that Muslims may target westerners in general in “retaliation.”

Dear Lucy,
ReplyDeleteIn the spirit of freedom I’m glad to post your comment even though I, and I believe most Americans would deem them woefully naïve and ignorant of both history and common sense. Israel is a tiny democracy created by the United Nations out of the ashes of the worst holocaust ever committed in human history. It is a largely an enlightened (and yes, imperfect) western outpost surrounded by a sea of backward totalitarian regimes and Islamic fanatics who would be more than happy to slit your little infidel throat at worse, and at best, would throw you in a Burka and sell you as a piece of meat into a marriage in which you are nothing but a rather worthless piece of property to be used at your male masters pleasure. Perhaps you should read up a little on who we are facing before bursting out in Kum-ba-ya and getting your hair all tangled up in the wind chime. All the best,
Joe
