MEANWHILE BACK ON EARTH, US HOUSE TO VOTE ON PORTS: Showdown With President Likely

The Neocon Express found it difficult to get worked up over the Dubai port issue one way or the other, that is until the President and a few of his supporters loudly announced that anyone opposing this deal is a bigot. That tactic has, in my judgment backfired in a big way, including with the Neocon. Congressional leaders should immediately move to put the breaks on this deal. Let the President veto the bill as he has so publicly promised, and then let that woefully misguided veto be overturned by vast majorities from both parties. The Neocon is generally a strong supporter of the President; however, on a number of occasions, such as the Harriet Myers nomination, he has strayed down strange paths.
