Thousands of Sudanese in Israel Celebrate Independence Vote for South Sudan

Over the last decade, thousands of Sudanese refugees trekked through hundreds of miles of harsh, lawless desert, risking marauding gangs of thieves and rapists, to reach the safety and security of "racist"Israel, which took them in, and housed and fed them for years. Today these Sudanese refugees celebrated in Tel Aviv the vote for independence in the new country of South Sudan, and many look forward to returning to their homeland.
