Richard Lugar (R-IN) says that all this represents a good opportunity for the two countries to meet. He says President Barack Obama or Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton should be ready to meet with their Iranian counterparts [Ahamedinejad-Kahtemi] despite their murdering people in the streets. Lugar spoke to CNN's "State of the Union." Good lord. This old fart needs to retire.

The answer to your question is no. China might gain from greater freedom in Iran is a reason for the US to discourage freedom in Iran? Please. You're are insulting the United States and the principle of freedom.
