For those who have never seen Israel, the following two videos will give you a magnificent overview in a way that you will never see in the news. With all its history and political significance, Israel is still a tiny country and can be viewed entirely by helicopter in no more than a day or two (which I have done). Yet as you will see, the variety of landscapes and diversity of religions and cultures is simply stunning. Enjoy.

Hava Nagila. Stunning land, indeed. Although I have not visited, I know Israelis more than Israel itself. One day I would love to visit Israel. But I must admit that I'd be a bit nervous about getting on a public bus (yikes).
ReplyDeleteI also avoid public trasportation in Israel. One of the reasons every journalist strives to be appointed to Israel is because they enjoy all of the beauty, the comforts of modernity and a pretty exciting life-style on the one hand, and close proximity to conflict and drama on the other.
