May 2005 NIE report: "We believe with high confidence that Iran currently is determined to develop nuclear weapons."I am truly embarrassed for these folks, and for our country. Wouldn't it be far better to publish no report at all? It would even be better to publish a report that honestly states something like this: "We judge with high confidence that we don't have the slightest freaking clue what is going on in Iran despite the billions of tax dollars that we consume."
November 2007 NIE report: "We judge with high confidence that in fall 2003, Tehran halted its nuclear weapons program."
'The President that allowed the worlds leading terror-sponsoring nation to acquire nuclear-weapons.'It will be written on his tombstone; he will not be able to hide behind the NIE as his excuse for non-action on this crucial matter. All other issues pale in comparison; By historic standards, even Iraq will be seen as a minor skirmish compared to the monumental implications. The entire 'War on Terror' will be seen as a farce if the worlds number-one terror-sponsoring state develops the technological ability to evaporate entire cities, as the President of the United States hid behind the skits of a few Washington bureaucrats who have never accurately estimated anything of such magnitude, to justify his inaction.
Son of a Cab driver in Boston, now the third richest man in America. Philanthropist who gives to great causes. We also like the cut of his political jib. Unlike many other Vegas big-wigs, Adelson actually has a few principles that he believes in and acts on.
Professor at Virginia Tech who blocked the door to his classroom with his own body so that all of his students could escape by jumping out the windows. Professor Librescu was the only person killed in his class as the gunman shot him through the door. A real hero who in death, taught his students the meaning of sacrifice and honor.
Military: General David Petraeus:
Dennis Kucinich:
Called the President “mentally ill”, and then announced that he has seen a UFO. Enough said.
Harry Reid:
Dreary, cold and inarticulate, unless he is trashing his own country; Described the Iraq war as “lost”….and by extension US troops as losers.
Nancy Palosi:Has brought congressional approval ratings to an all-time low; huddled with Syrian dictator Bashir Assad and claimed “the road to peace leads through Damascus.”
