Defensive Obama Feels Need to Give an "I am a Patriot" Speech

Only a man who knows that he falls short in a certain area would feel the need to deliver a speech on the subject in an effort to shore up his credentials. Think Richard Nixon and his "I am not a crook" speech. Such was the case today when Obama delivered his "I am a patriot" speech; Or rather his "I am not unpatriotic" speech. Can anyone imagine McCain needing to deliver an "I am a patriot" speech? That contrast alone should be enough to give anyone pause.

Dem Leader Harry Reid: "Coal and Oil Makes Us Sick"

More proof, if anyone needs it, that Democrats are directly responsible for your pain at the pump. Bottom line, they think you shouldn't be using your internal combustion engine to begin with:

Sunday, June 29, 2008

Democrats are Responsible for Your Pain at the Pump, Period.

Accessing our energy sources in North America is illegal. Shale oil in the Rockey Mountains, off the West coast, off the East coast, off most of the Gulf coast, in Alaska...all illegal. We have more oil than Saudi Arabia, but thanks to Democrats, it's illegal to access. Nuclear power plants? Oil refineries? All impossible to build thanks to Democrats. Instead, we send all our money to terror sponsoring Islamic theocracies to buy their oil... thanks to Democrats. Tax holiday on gas? Dems call it a gimmick.
See that tiny little dot in the light green section of the Northeast corner of Alaska. Have you ever been there? Do you know anyone who has ever been there? Anyway, Democrats say we can't drill on that tiny little dot the size of Washington National Airport, because a Caribou might be disturbed. Could produce an estimated 1.5 million barrels a day. Dems say no, send the money to Saudi Arabia instead. Dems can't comprehend basic laws of supply and demand. They like to spread bug-a-boo, Chicken Little silliness like "global warming" hysteria and encourage farmers to produce ethanol instead of food. Food prices sore and people in poor countries starve. Please, next time you vote Dem. Don't complain about the price of gas, the resulting faltering economy or starving people in poor countries. You are part of the problem, not the solution. It's not the evil oil executive or the greedy car company executive, and it's not the big bad boogy man hiding in the closet; it's you. Look in the mirror.

PS. Yeah, Yeah, I know, John McCain is against drilling in Alaska too. That too is silliness and vanity, and I predict he will flip.

Gen. Wesley Clark: McCain Lacks Experience

This is what Obama surrogate Wes Clark had to say about John McCain's qualifications today. You cannot make this stuff up:

"In the matters of national security policy making, it's a matter of understanding risk. It's a matter of gauging your opponents and it's a matter of being held accountable. John McCain's never done any of that in his official positions. He has been a voice on the Senate Armed Services Committee and he has traveled all over the world, but he hasn't held executive responsibility. That large squadron in the Navy that he commanded — that wasn't a wartime squadron."

"I don't think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be president. I know my experience as a company commander in Vietnam — that doesn't prepare you to be commander in chief in terms of dealing with the national strategic issues that are involved. It may give you a feeling for what the troops are going through in the process, but it doesn't give you the experience first hand of the national strategic issues."
Of course, there was no mention of Obama's extensive experience. Lets review shall we:

Obama: a Lawyer/politician who never served his country for a single moment. An almost non-existent legislative record and one of the most partisan records in Washington for the short while he has been there. Has zero executive experience in the public or private sector. Has never owned or run a business, not even a lemonade stand. Primary qualification? A slick tongue.

John McCain: Commanded the largest naval squadron in the United States Armed Forces. A true hero who Spent five years as a prisoner of war under horrific circumstances, tortured and abused, but never betrayed his country. Served for decades on the Armed Services Committee of the US Senate with a long record of bi-partisanship and legislative achievement.

That Wes Clark (acting as an official Obama surrogate) would make the "experience" argument with a straight face is down-right delusional. Belittling McCain's record is an inexcusable insult and lie.

The Truth Mr. Clark? You can't Handel the truth!

Giant US Success in Iraq!

Iraq is turning into a major success for the United State. The left are refusing to accept the new reality on the ground because it does not conform to their rigid narrative of failure and defeat. They are so invested in a US defeat in Iraq that even reality itself must be denied.

A VILLA IN THE JUNGLE

By Si Frumkin
A friend sent me a video of an interview at a Russian language TV channel in Israel. I was reluctant to watch it – it was more than 35 minutes long and I had never heard of Dan Shiftan, the guest. Just to avoid feeling guilty I googled Dan Shiftan and was impressed: he is the head of Israeli National Security Center and was described by the 30 or so sites I looked at as “scholar”, “controversial”, “well informed”, “conservative”, “prolific”, “influential”, and also “Arab-hating”, “right wing”, “colonialist” and several much less complimentary adjectives by Palestinian sites.
I was hooked after the first two minutes when he was asked how he saw Israel’s role and image in the Middle East and he responded that it was a luxury villa in the jungle.
“Israel must concentrate on itself, on what it needs and what is fantasy and what is real,” he said. “There was a time when Jews believed that they could become part of the Middle East, that they could fit in but they are realizing now that they will never fit in. And, furthermore, the more they learn about the Middle East, the less they want to be part of it and they should stop trying and look at reality.”
Dr. Shiftan believes that it is important for Israel to form relationships with Europe and the U.S. but Israel also knows that it is impossible to form a relationship with the Palestinians. And so, since both U.S. and Europe insist that something should be done, Israel does something: Oslo, Madrid, more recently Annapolis, exercises in futility of little significance.
“Israel must concern with itself without asking when there would be peace. Israel lived without peace for 120 years now, and it can learn how to live 120 more years without it. The best that can be hoped for is not peace – just an absence of war, like with Egypt. Israel will continue to develop its culture, industry, art, and all the rest that creates a culture, just as it has done before and will do in the future. This is our strength and this is important.”
He tells a joke to explain his optimism about the future.
“The Lord decides that He has had it with humanity and will destroy it once and for all. There will be a flood but no Noah, no arc, no stopping the rain, nothing. He calls together the three representatives of the monotheistic religions and tells them that they should tell their people that they have two weeks before it is all over.
“The Christian tells his people, ‘We have two weeks so use them to do good deeds and you’ll go to Paradise.
“The Muslim tells his people that it is unavoidable, just live as you always have, and this is the way it is – Allah’s will.
“The Jew says, ‘Guys, listen carefully. We have just two weeks to learn how to live under water, so let’s go!”
He claims to be an optimist because of the Arabs.
“Just look. They hate one another. The Saudis hate the Shiites. The Lebanese hate the Palestinians - well, everyone hates the Palestinians. The Egyptians act superior and no one likes them. The Syrians hate the Jordanians and the Lebanese. In Sudan the Arabs are slaughtering Muslim blacks. In Iraq Sunnis and Shiites kill one another. And they have the same language, same religion. This is a region with an unstable and aggressive structure and we expect to be an island of harmony and goodwill here? It’s a fairy tale. I love fairy tales but really, you should stop believing in them when you are 7 or 8, maybe at 13 at the latest. The failure of the Palestinians and the success of Israel are caused by their goals. The Palestinian goal is to defeat the Jews. The Jews do not want to defeat the Palestinians – they want to create a pluralistic society, to advance science, create a strong economy that will help the poor, develop a good educational system for. This is the Israeli fantasy, but it isn’t predicated on everlasting peace. Of course, if there is peace, it would be wonderful, but if not, we’ll manage.”
Israel’s success is incredible but it is in spite of politicians, not because of them. The main principle of politics is hypocrisy – to say one thing and do something else.
“If you believe that a program will end poverty you are a fool! If you believe that a program will end crime, you are a fool! If you believe anything a politician promises, you are a fool!” he tells the host.
But the Israelis, most Israelis expect to be lied to and they act accordingly. The result is that Israel is an incredible success story. Israel’s media write about poverty, unemployment, the end of society but the Israelis don’t believe it. And the proof is that only 10% have emigrated – 90% didn’t. In the 1950s there wasn’t enough food for everyone – today more is spent on diets than on all of the food in 1950. The Israeli shekel is stronger than the dollar and the euro – no one transfers money to foreign banks while a decade ago anyone who had $50 sent it to Switzerland as soon as he could.
“Why?” he laughs. “Because the government was sneaky - they allowed transferring currency out of the country. And everyone knew that if the government allows something then it must be a stupid thing to do. And so they stopped.”

An Embarrassing Day for Israel

GOOD LORD!!! First the highly touted "cease fire" was broken as Palestinian rockets rained down on Israel from Gaza... with no Israeli response. Then a member of the Prime Minister's security detail apparently shoots and kills himself (accident or suicide) during the departure ceremony for French President Sarkozy at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv; two female soldiers faint at the sound of the gun shot, and the two leaders are whisked away in a panic by security. No word on if Inspector Clouseau or the keystone cops were present.

Attacks un-responded to, a soldier shooting himself in the middle of a state ceremony for a foreign leader and others fainting at the slightest hint of trouble; while leaders are whisked away in a panic by security details that no ordinary citizen enjoys. Why does all of this smell so bad?

"Scientist" James Hanson wants Oil Executives Put on Trail!

"Global Warming" windbag and now political activist James Hanson wants to put oil executives on trail for, get this: "high crimes against humanity and nature". He says he's 99% certain that GW is caused by humans... and that should be good enough for the rest of us to go back to the stone age. It seems he wants "deniers" of his theory to be put in a place like this: I'm thinking 'mental institution' for Mr. Hanson. And notice how the Guardian needs to pump up his stature. If his stature was so great, wouldn't we already know that he is "one of the worlds leading"... without the Guardian needing to tell us? The article also informs us that he is going to testify again before Congress. No word on if he plans on arriving there using a vehicle or plane powered by an internal combustion engine, or if he intends to walk.

Obama Takes Credit for Vote He Never Cast

In this ad Obama claims that he "passed laws for extended health care for wounded troops who had been neglected" referring to his vote on Public Law 110-181, on January 28, 2008. The problem? Obama never even showed up to vote on that bill. How is a person allowed to simply lie like that and is never held accountable? Almost on a daily basis. It's truly astonishing.

Martha Stewart refused entry to the UK

Britain is the biggest cesspool of Islamo-fascist radicals in Europe... and yet they refuse the lifestyle personality Martha Stewart entry because we all know the kind of threat she may pose to British society. Maybe if she wore a burka?

The Great Seal of Obama Violates US Law

In Addition to being tacky and presumptuous, like measuring the drapes and announcing that he is going to build a basketball court in the White House. There is this little thing called The Law:

18 USC Sec. 713 ...
(a) Whoever knowingly displays any printed or other likeness of the great seal of the United States, or of the seals of the President or the Vice President of the United States, or the seal of the United States Senate, or the seal of the United States House of Representatives, or the seal of the United States Congress, or any facsimile thereof, in, or in connection with, any advertisement, poster, circular, book, pamphlet, or other publication, public meeting, play, motion picture, telecast, or other production, or on any building, monument, or stationery, for the purpose of conveying, or in a manner reasonably calculated to convey, a false impression of sponsorship or approval by the Government of the United States or by any department, agency, or instrumentality thereof, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.

(b) Whoever, except as authorized under regulations promulgated by the President and published in the Federal Register, knowingly manufactures, reproduces, sells, or purchases for resale, either separately or appended to any article manufactured or sold, any likeness of the seals of the President or Vice President, or any substantial part thereof, except for manufacture or sale of the article for the official use of the Government of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.

Prison for six months? Hmmmm...

The Messiah sitting behind the Great Seal of Obama:

Sheldon Adleson and Friends Need to Spend $1,000,000,000 for McCain Victory

There is no comfortable alternative:Now that Barack Obama has opted out of public financing...the dogs of war have been unleashed in the field of campaign finance. With shades of Bob Dole, the McCain campaign so far is not exactly lighting fires and Republicans big hope now is for 527's (independent expenditures) to come indirectly to McCain's rescue. There are only a handful of people in the country who are in a position to put up the kind of money needed to overcome the Obama money Juggernaut and save the country from a slide into a far left abyss, possibly for many years to come. The implications of an Obama victory are potentially stunning, assuming that he will govern as he promised in the primary as opposed to the predictable lurch to the center that he will make for the general. My guess is that he will govern to the left of where he was even in the primary if his personal history and long-time associations are any indication.

Too much is at stake. Obama will raise five hundred million and surely others will contribute indirectly to put this campaign over one billion. Likely a first in campaign history.

McCain's vanity is not helping matters with his wasting valuable TV time on silly issues like "Global Warming". His 'no drilling in ANWAR' policy when Americans are paying over $4 dollars a gallon at the pump is also embarrassing. If McCain is to win, it seems, it will likely be despite McCain not because of him.

Indeed, if McCain is to win, it will likely be because people like Adelson decided that the matter is too important to be left up to McCain's vanity, and will take the matter into their own hands and commit the resources needed for victory in what will surely become an all out brawl for the leadership of what is still the Free World.

Below is the Messiah breaking his word to Tim Russert on his commitment to public financing. He then proceeded to lie about "sitting down with John McCain." WOW! The man can just straight out lie not be held accountable. Truly amazing:

One More Reason to Attack: ElBaradei Says He'll Resign if Iran Attacked

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Mohamad ElBaradei, will quit his position in the event of a military strike on Iran, according to a Reuters report Friday.
So we can get rid of the Iranian Nuclear program and ElBaradei at the same time?

With Obama, it really dosn't matter what he says, it's how he says it

Obama fan Qadhafi calls Obama a "Muslim". Bloomberg to Jews: Denounce Obama Muslim Rumors. Here are the Facts:

New York Mayor Bloomberg wants Jews to denounce the Obama-Muslim rumors that are "disguised as concern for Israel but really just partisan politics." I don't know many Jews who are spreading rumors that obama is a Muslim, but I do know prominent Muslims that are describing Obama as a Muslim. Exhibit A; below is strong Obama supporter Qadahfi describing Obama as a Muslim. Mr. Bloomberg?

The Facts: For the record: I don't believe that Obama is a practicing Muslim in any way. He was born to a Muslim father (which in Islam means he is Muslim by birth); he lived much of his childhood in a Muslim Country, his step-father was a Muslim and he has many direct Muslim family members from his fathers side including his half brother who are Muslims. All of that does not make Obama a practising Muslim. He is not; according to his own public proclamations and as demonstrated by his 20 year membership in Trinity Church, an Afrocentric church that preaches a gospel called "Black Liberation Theology," Obama is not a practising Muslim. Please correct my facts if I am wrong. I have look into this carefully and will correct my facts if they are wrong. The facts speak loudly without the need to make stuff up.

Obama: My Values Come Straight From Kansas

This ad is good! I mean really good! Obama spent no real time in Kansas during his entire life. He did spend almost a decade in Jakarta, Indonesia. Of course the ad makes no mention of Jakarta where he grew up, instead, it focuses on Kansas, a place that Obama hardly knows. Making political hay out of the place where his mother was born. My Mother was born in Tifton, Georgia but I grew up in other regions...does that mean I have "George values?".... Obama's Mother's birthplace suddenly makes him less like the Reverend Wright and more like the non-threatening Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. Oh these guys are good! And they know people are just stupid enough to buy it.

Israel-Hamas Truce...For Now

What I like about this image from Fox News is that it subtly shows something that those of us who follow the Arab-Israeli conflict already know, but for most folks will go unnoticed: The image of an Israeli soldier just reading a book; Book reading is something that you will NEVER see on the Arab side...unless the book is the KORAN; Here's why.

MoveOn.Org: John McCain Wants to Eat Your Children

Really, where to begin with this?...It's so sick and revealing of the mental disorder that so many seem to suffer from these days.

The Parody:

Obama National Security Advisor: "Winnie the Pooh seems to me to be a fundamental text on national security.”

Major h/t: Are We Lumberjacks?

In arguing that the country should back off a policy that causes too much pain, [naturally he was not referring to our no-drill oil policy] Danzig said, “”Winnie the Pooh seems to me to be a fundamental text on national security.” He read a section from the children’s book where Pooh Bear hurts himself going down the steps because he hasn’t stopped to think of another way.
You simply cannot make this stuff up. A liberal friend of mine complained once that America is Dumb-f#@k-a-Stan. I pity him for having such an arrogant and elitist mindset... especially because he himself is not the sharpest knife in the cutlery set. I hope I never fall into that mentality if these folks are elected. Scary.

Stupid "Breaking News" of the Day: AL GORE ENDORSES BARACK OBAMA!!!

Was Gore expected to endorse someone else? libertarian Bob Barr maybe? So Democrat Gore endorsed the Democrat nominee, WOW! And the Sky's shall open up and a celestial light shall beam down upon us.... The only thing surprising about Gore's endorsement was how late it came, well after Obama's nomination was secured. Not exactly a profile in courage. That's the only thing remotely "newsworthy" about it, yet the MSM are all over this with WWII-like headlines. I can only image the huge headlines when former Republican VP Dan Quayle endorses McCain....Oh wait, he already did. And how dare I compere Gore to Quayle anyway...

Lefty Media: "A US soldier refuses to report for active duty in Iraq"

The more accurate headline would be: MILLIONS OF AMERICANS SELFLESSLY VOLUNTEER FOR MILITARY SERVICE, HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS SHOW UP FOR DEPLOYMENT TO IRAQ!!!!

But NOOOOOOO, this major newswire has to dig deep to find that one guy who doesn't show up, to justify the splashy defeatist headline.

This has gone "viral" all over YouTube with millions of hits in the last few days, and there are a bunch of versions from different countries. PC World Magazine has the scoop:

The headset's out of the bag and one company scored big with their viral videos. The videos -- and I'm still convinced they were brilliantly edited -- were produced by LastFools, a marketing firm in Paris. They seem to say that if you were dumb enough to grab some friends and try to pop corn with your cell phone, and it didn't work, don't blame -- or sue -- us.

Le Burka show

Hi, I'm Barack Obama and I just dropped by to cure your cancer before heading over to end all poverty, stop all wars and part the seas:

Iran Rejects EU/US Nuclear Deal - Sarkozy & Bush Warn...

Iran: "If suspension is included in the package, it won't be considered at all. The position of the Islamic Republic of Iran is clear. Preconditions can't be raised for any halt or suspension [of uranium enrichment]."

Bush and Sarkozy were informed of Iran's rejection as they went into a morning meeting and reacted:

Sarkozy: "If Iran gets a nuclear bomb, that is totally unacceptable. Our position will not change....As far as military nuclear access is concerned, this is 'no' on the part of the international community."

Bush: "I'm disappointed that the leaders rejected this generous offer out of hand... Our allies understand that a nuclear-armed Iran is incredibly destabilizing, and they understand that it would be a major blow to world peace."

The Neocon: Bush's legacy depends almost entirely on whether Iran is on the path to nuclear weapons when he leaves office, or on whether he took action to halt Iran's march to a nuclear bomb. From the prospective of history, that issue will far outweigh both Iraq and Afghanistan. If Bush leaves office having neutralized the Iranian bomb, history will judge him well. Should Bush leave office with Iran on the brink of nuclear weapons, his legacy will be judged harshly indeed.

All the short-term whining about Iraq... etc... are not matters of lasting historic significance in comparison to the prospect of a nuclear armed radical Islamic terrorist state.
